I like this. One of PokerStars' many motivating factors was to pick up the Full Tilt brand, a huge part of which were the "name pro" players who quite literally made its face. I expect most of the better non-U.S. players which have already been cited in this thread, plus two or three of the most visible American players (even if they can't play on there) who have a high Q-rating among international players.

Of course, the new list of Team Full Tilt and Full Tilt Pros will be (and should be) considerably smaller. A major part of FTP's problems was not having enough cash to cover the endorsements/dividends/sponsorships/kickbacks for such a large fleet of red names. Stars will not follow suit.

Spotted a tell on Ivey. Whenever he puts chips into the pot he takes out double.

Re: Which Team Full Tilt Members and Red Pros will be offered new deals

I'm fairly confident that more will be offered sponsorship than will take it. Between Raymer's, Greenstein's and DN's posts, it is pretty clear that the top deal is DN's, which consists of buying him in about $500k of tournaments a year of his choice. If PS wants you at an event, they would cover your travel expenses. Just below this top is that sponsored pros get BI's for only televised events and that is limited in quantity. Many of them are just getting rake back.

I don't think a Negreanu deal would be of much interest to most of the top pros other than ones who focus on tournaments. It wouldn't be to durrrr, who clearly only values tournaments as prop bets and ways to bring the fish in. I expect to only see online regulars from overseas getting offers who have a following in their own country.

I can see Victor Bloom being moved to Full Tilt as the new big name, he never really found his place at pokerstars. Out of the old red pros i see the Hendon Mob. Ivey and Durrrr will never agree to whatever deal pokerstars wishes.

Obviously stars buying FTP is great bc players get paid back etc. but in the sense that if you make WSOP ft/win and are marketable suddenly two big sites aren't bidding against you, so it's kind of bad for those super rare few people who could negoiate a deal.

It would make sense to keep the most visible cardrunner pros because of their old relationship (ftp/cr).
Skjervoy and stinger would make great candidates, in my most humble opinion.
