Emailed support over 24 hours ago and still no response unusual for stars in my past experience's, I get the feeling this is being dodged for good reason

Party will leave. They would be just waiting for Royal Assent so that they have an end date. They can then inform players and pay all players in a orderly fashion by the enactment date.

"We regret the inconvenience you are experiencing.

Please, kindly note that unfortunately there is no way to withdraw funds back onto a MasterCard due to processor's restrictions. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this might cause you. And please note that this is not a PokerStars constraint, definitely, though we sincerely regret the inconvenience.

Please also note that due to the recent legal changes made by the Australian government, we are unable to provide you with the option of a direct bank transfer or wire transfer to withdraw your funds. For all these reasons, our management team enabled withdrawals with Neteller or Skrill without the need for a prior deposit with any of these methods.

We are truly aware that these options charge a service fee for the use of certain methods but as far as we are informed, there are options within both methods to receive your funds from them free of charge. At this time, unfortunately, we are not able yet to give you another option to withdraw your funds. For this reason, we can only recommend you contact NETELLER or Skrill to find out if they have options for you to receive your funds from an online wallet you create with them, without additional service charges.

You can contact NETELLER through: support@neteller.com. And you can do the same with Skrill through: https://help.skrill.com/en/ContactSkrill

We, once more, are sincerely sorry about the hassle, same as any major company could be about a similar situation worrying his customers, and please let us know if there is anything else we can help with.""

Is there any reason why you don't just setup a skrill account?
TAKE ACTION: Need urgent help to keep Australian online poker. Deadline 21 July #AusFight4Poker Quote

Profish if you want you can transfer it to me and i'll send you AUD via bank xfer as long as you're happy to pay the 2.5% vig stars charges to cash out (since i'll eventually have to pay that myself cashing out the funds when stars leaves). I'll do the playthrough for you as i'm still playing there and you said it's a sub $100 amount.

There's no reason to cash out until the sites pull out though games will operate as normal for probably a few more weeks

Send me a PM if you want to anyway

Alternatively just go to skrill or neteller and set up an account and just play a session of low stakes hu hypers if you want to do the playthrough yourself or whatever

They've just given me $499.99 worth of play money, I saw subject and thought it was a cash goodbye bonus, over 1.3billion in play money they've credited me with this week, wish I could sell it.

Hello #####,
You may have learned that due to Australian legislation changes we are forced to leave the Real Money poker scene in Australia. As stated in previous correspondence you will be able to deposit and play real money poker until mid-September. Furthermore, you will be able to withdraw funds before and post this date, so there is no need to worry about losing any of your assets on PokerStars .

That being said, even after the close we will continue to offer competitive poker in our Play Money environment. Our Play Money games offer the some of the best poker in the world and you can play for billions of chips. Just like our Ambassador Barry Greenstein, who plays play money regularly to thirst his competitive spirit and continue to stay on top of his game.

Because you are a valued poker player, I want to give you a front row seat experience in our play money games. Therefore, I have credited you with $499.99 worth of play money chips and I invite you to play in our high stakes play money cash games and tournaments.

Furthermore, I am a VIP host with PokerStars, and please feel free to ask me for assistance with any PokerStars related matter, including questions about the current changes in Australia.

Thank you for choosing PokerStars.

Regards,

George Hunter
PokerStars VIP Host

I'm not really sure why PS thinks all these play money donations are going to help ease the pain. It's almost an insult.

They could at least set up some goodbye freerolls or something. Anything is better than what they're doing.

^ THIS

I despise fkn poker machines, between them & the stupid bloody lockout they've decimated the live music scene in Sydney.

Also i'm in the Eastern Suburbs and it's rare to find a game for under $30 buy-ins. Online I play 25c-$16.50 buy-ins with an enormous field that no pub or club in Sydney is able to accommodate.

The few times I do play live (mainly @ Newmarket & Ashfield), at break time everyone head to the pokie room to smoke & drink and feed notes into the pokies. Fkn joke that our submissions weren't even taken into account.

I love my country - but the increasing nanny state politics are starting to make me angry.

Hopefully the Betway experts can put some revenue numbers forth that the government might find tempting

Looks like the hearings are today can someone post a summary in thread if I don't wake up in time to catch it all?

Contrary to what the poker media seems to be saying this fight is not over, the committee will report and there is a chance we will be able to move forward down a path towards regulation - the IGA doesn't directly ban online poker it just bans unlicensed forms of gambling and we're in the process of attempting to get a way for online poker sites to get licensed in Australia set up. The government needs the crossbench and key crossbenchers are on our side it would appear. Their votes can be traded to pass online poker legislation since the government doesn't care about it and that's assuming we can't get the LNP on side, which we should be able to do on the merits of our argument - I mean they're supposedly a pro-business small government party that likes reducing the burden on taxpayers. Our position of legalising/regulating/taxing the industry meets all of the criteria to be policy the LNP should support.

Also noticed there are 46 or so submissions online now but two of my friends who have made submissions ones arent displaying yet along with some regs who I know made them so we must have a bunch more to come. It's insane that they haven't got them up yet a month later and the process is nearing conclusion. Can they really only vet one submission a day or whatever? It can't possibly take longer than 20 mins or so to read a submission, make sure it's legitimate/not vulgar/etc and then press the upload button.

@Stars please don't insult us with play money bull****. You weren't there for us when it counted, you did the bare minimum and if you get back into the Australian market it will be because of the work of people like Joey and the rest of the posters in thread who made submissions, not because of your one email you sent 3 days before submissions were due a full month after we all begged you to do something. Stars were utterly pathetic here with millions of dollars of business for them at stake. 888 were even worse and Party weren't much better.

Possible that they won't put them up publicly until all committee members have read them.
