I feel like I should make a joke about our black friday event occurring on 9/11 and that this is the worst thing to ever happen on September 11 but that wouldn't be funny. Or would it? Idk.

We will lose the regulated sites in September but this isn't over. Remember, if we can get the government to support the committee's likely recommendations we may be able to get legislation passed.

In the meantime, there's Ignition, ACR, Poker Monster, Poker Master, SWC and the other Bitcoin sites, etc.

It's tempting to suggest that on September 11 we all fire up a game of online poker on a remaining site of our choice and tweet about it showing that their legislation doesn't work and we can still play so regulating the market makes more sense maybe? I don't know i'm sure Joey will have another post for us soon and we'll have a better idea for our best path forward once we know what the committee's recommendations are, whether the Greens support us and whether Sen Duniam from the Libs is on board too and can work to lobby his party from within.

It's worth a listen, articulate, informed and compelling arguments. There is a point in there (towards the end) when one of the committee talks to the two paths we can proceed down to effectively make it legal so it does seem like that's may be where their minds are at.

September 11 will now always be known as a day of tragedy

**** this is the worst september 11 since the day they didn't air cheez tv 16 yrs ago

When stars does come back to OZ I will not be playing on their site again the support they gave to our fight was BULL SH!%.

1) This new Amaya group is the best at coming up with bull shi% excuses to rape their players dry.

2) They took away the good old rake back system and gave us this BULL SH!% chest but that wasn't enough for them they had to come up with a new way to get those few crummy coins the chest spits out at you with this RIGGED deal game.

3) Loyal customer's means nothing to them even big cash/mtt players means sh!% to them we are all put in the same group ( how can we take more from our customer's).

4) The fight Joey and Swoop and the others involved was excellent even though these guys were fighting for stars and spending $$$ out of their pockets stars did the bare minimum to help them out.

They knew over a Month before the dead line for submission was up but they waited till the last 3 days, if they sent that 1 important email out earlier we may have gotten 100's more submissions or if they sent a email out to the payers sending them to the AOPA for more info earlier.

5) gg guys good fight but find your self's a site that at least listen to what their players want and not a site that keeps thinking of new ways to bleed you dry.

6) We as the playing group should have stuck together come up with a date to boycott the site on Fri/Sat/Sun 2 weeks in a row so they can bring back the good old rake and start to listen to what the players want not what their incompetent management thinks we need.

7) Now their generosity has kicked in sending us free play chips like we are peasants.

Reading through some of the submissions I really feel sad for some of the old guys who are losing their hobby. I hope they have a younger relative who can set them up with a VPN.

AOPA should def consider assisting those who want to continue playing online to get set up on sites like Ignition/ACR, the Chinese sites that require a third party broker and the BTC sites like SWC. I'm happy to do my part to help out the less tech literate people get set up on a suitable site for them.

I think that the day after Stars leaves the Australian market we should consider all taking a screenshot of ourselves playing on an unregulated site of our choice and tweet them to committee members and Tudge to show that the legislation doesn't work it just drives the legitimate sites away maybe. Or maybe slightly later, once the committee's recommendations are made and we know what they are.

And follow it up by sending pics of us doing blow and saying drug laws don't work?

I'd love to know what the Aussie endbosses plan on doing. Maybe this isn't the best place to ask. The likes of mjw, imluckbox, monsterdong, DeosOner etc. Honestly I don't know that much about them, some of them might not even play from Australia.

Afaik its not illegal to play as an individual, only to offer games as an operator. Obviously would have to check beforehand with regards to the legalities but Sen Leyonhjelm himself said if it's banned just get a VPN or find an offshore site and carry on playing.

@Harambee most of them will move and/or travel the live circuit, at least the ones i've spoken to. Some will play live or transition out of playing full time I assume.

If it's a new account use Skrill, if you haven't used your Skrill account in the last 12 Months they charge you $3 per Month that you haven't used your account.

Been lurking this for awhile such a ****ty situation for all, my question is where can we play now ive downloaded this ACR for the first time and spoke to a live rep there who said they know nothing about the new law coming in and dont care pretty much.... So after september 11th are we still able to play on this site using skrill or Neteller only?

Will skrill have any issues returning money to my bank with this law or are they ok?

Does ACR need a VPN or can we just play as normal? ISP wont block it will they? Kinda new to this VPN and dodgy sites so id like to clear it up before i deposit and play

After sending in verification documents my first withdrawal on ignition is being processed, great customer service so far rarely have to wait more then 5-6 hours for an email reply

The best thing about this regulation is now we can play poker and slots on our favourite site

Jokes aside ignition seems really sweet so far, getting a bitcoin wallet will save money on deposits/ withdrawals though

Also they seem to have decent rakeback I'm not sure what it is exactly but I'm sure it's a lot better than stars
