Kind of makes me sad! Rounders.

I made a trip and stayed there solely because of the movie in 1999. It was probably a dump now, but had its glory years!

Congratulations to the union.. They "held the line" alright. Now they got their ultimate prize, unemployment. Well done indeed...

That's why those Indian copycats stole the name and built their own Taj Mahal!

I feel the same way, and remember when that was the place to play. It was definitely a long slide downhill, but still have some good memories.

So you must not like the 5 day workweek and the 8 hour day that striking workers of the past gave us.

mid/late 90s

where i cut my teeth, my very first "shot take" if you will haha

where i made quads and was beat by quads an unusual amount of times imo

where i banged my longest session evar @ 40ish hours and saw the sun rise 2x woot woot

where i met my first super smoking hot lady of the night (did not bang)...only, in the day tho

where i always knew i was just a quick elevator ride to the best cafateria food on the planet

where i have gone broke plenty

...where, at one time, the regs and atmosphere of the room were often as entertaining as the game you were sat

feelssadman

I'm betting that the union reps like the 8 hours/day-5 day work weeks that they still have, but I'm quite sure that the newly unemployed Taj workers that listened to these nitwits do NOT like their new 0 hours/day-0 days work weeks that they now have. I'm wondering if they are still being told by their union reps not to worry management is bluffing... stay the line they will cave in... Only to be told later: "Sorry folks they werent bluffing and now your're out of a job.. good luck and make sure your union dues are paid up." Good job union blowhards you guys really played that one well.

I think you'll find it was actually named after my local curry house.

...On 1 May 1886, Albert Parsons, head of the Chicago Knights of Labor, with his wife Lucy Parsons and two children, led 80,000 people down Michigan Avenue, Chicago, in what is regarded as the first modern May Day Parade, in support of the eight-hour day. In the next few days they were joined nationwide by 350,000 workers who went on strike at 1,200 factories, including 70,000 in Chicago, 45,000 in New York, 32,000 in Cincinnati, and additional thousands in other cities. Some workers gained shorter hours (eight or nine) with no reduction in pay,....
