UB advertises heavily and encourages more and more people to play poker, play online poker etc.. they're dealing with this issue

Crappy support or slow cashouts are things that can be fixed and forgiven; looking the other way while players are robbed of hundreds of thousands of dollars is not.
Saying "online poker is already in trouble" doesn't justify accepting sites just because they advertise and get more people to play. The best thing for online poker is for its prime defenders, i.e., us, to remove themselves from scum****s like the ones behind the AP and UB disasters. And since much of the blame lies on the higher-ups at these sites, it means removing ourselves from AP and UB entirely.
Also note that UB didn't shut down the superusers. They ignored them until the AP scandal broke, at which point the superusers disappeared. If AP didn't accidentally send the superuser HH to crazymarco, it's very possible they'd still be there.
