WOW. I used to play on Absolute back in 2004-2005 then switched over to Pokerstars. Thank god I did. The idea about handing out flyers at the WSOP is great. Also I hope that Cardplayer does a big article on this and keeps it on the frontpage of the website. I doubt that this will happen but this is a HUGE disservice to the poker community. I wonder if there is any way to get this information more available to the public instead of just being on 2+2. There is alot of new players that see Hellmuth and just sign up for UB. We need to think of ways to get this into the mainstream media and show that PStars and FT are legitimate sites. If anyone is some type of editor at a website or a newspaper see if there was anyway that you could get just a little article about this info. But definently bring this up at the WSOP and I would like Cardplayer to bring this info up to players and put them on camera to see what they say about the issue. Im sure Negreanu will comment on it as he always does on these type of issues. Also I would LOVE to see what Hellmuth has to say about this. Lets just get this info to as many people as possible. Also everyone that plays on UB and Absolute please switch over and lets put these companies out of business. There is no reason to have your money on there.

Thanks for making this so easy to read and understand, very good job with the whole thing. There definitely needs to be a way to get the word out more, as other posters suggested with the wikipedia, google, and handouts @ rio ideas.

I also just posted this is 3 other forums at P5's, cardplayer forums and pokerjunkie. If anyone can think of any other forums or anywhere else to put this information out at please just put link up. We need as many people possible to be aware of this. I am also interested to see how many people leave UB because of this. If there anywhere to figure out that information?

UB advertises heavily and encourages more and more people to play poker, play online poker etc.. they're dealing with this issue

Were not trying to crash internet poker. Were trying to keep internet poker more legitimate. What is stopping UB from not having more superusers? We just want the internet sites that are at there to be legit. Its quality over quantity. As long as Pstars and FT are there we will be ok. Those are two quality sites that people can put their money into. I am just worried about the people that are still on UB and AP and do not even know about this scandal. Those people need to be informed about the information that is out there so they can atleast make their own decision and most likely take their money out of those sites and put them on a site they can trust. Its all about protecting the players not trying to bring internet poker down.

I think distributing this at the WSOP is a great idea. With all the poker players in town, hiring some guys to pass it out similar to the stripper coupons might be a cost effective way to spread the word.

I think scandals like this help the cause for legalizing online poker bank transactions in the US. The UIGEA was intended to protect compulsive gamblers and underage gamblers and whatnot but people would be more protected by a regulated industry than having their funds in the hands of fraudulent offshore companies such as UB.

Does this also prove the point that the RNG is uncompromised?
If RNG was rigged, there would be far easier and less detectable ways to achieve the same, Jerry Yang style.

Crappy support or slow cashouts are things that can be fixed and forgiven; looking the other way while players are robbed of hundreds of thousands of dollars is not.

Saying "online poker is already in trouble" doesn't justify accepting sites just because they advertise and get more people to play. The best thing for online poker is for its prime defenders, i.e., us, to remove themselves from scum****s like the ones behind the AP and UB disasters. And since much of the blame lies on the higher-ups at these sites, it means removing ourselves from AP and UB entirely.

Also note that UB didn't shut down the superusers. They ignored them until the AP scandal broke, at which point the superusers disappeared. If AP didn't accidentally send the superuser HH to crazymarco, it's very possible they'd still be there.

Great post, I had no idea the cheating was going on at Ultimate Bet. I hope everyone who got cheated gets their money back and I hope they find the cheaters...any strategy about finding what names are behind the accounts?

I heard somewhere that the person who sent the hand history was fired from Absolute shortly after sending it. I think whoever it was knew what an important document they had their hands on and I would basically equate it to a whistle blower situation. Does anyone know anything about this?

Could be a guy tilt-shoving all-in every hand, me thinks.
