not so wild speculation: Kahnawake lose their ability to "regulate" internet gambling as provided by the Canadian gov. sites like AP, UB and even FTP who use these guys have to remove their little logo.

not so wild question: does it matter? do any of these sites need a regulatory agency to allow them to operate? i mean, i understand that it is supposed to make the player feel safe that someone is watching the sites and making them play fair...but really, all of this is outside the jurisdiction of the U.S. anyway.

what are you going to do if/when it is proven that AP/UB were scamming and the Kahnawake knew about it? sue? in what jurisdiction?

this is all a firm grip and the promise to swallow...IRL Kahnawake matters nothing as to whether someone bets with site A, B, or C.

you get your drugs from the dealer that is available and in my state (TX) there are no dealers. all i gots is teh intarwebs.

Seems the only logical thing to do is retire from online poker until it is regulated by the US Government. I have now removed all moneys from FTP and UB.
It's live poker only for me in the foreseeable future.

I'm seriously surprised that just one person [for the most part] disagreeing with the general idea of it has seemed to stop almost all talk about doing it.
I honestly didn't think my voice would carry that much weight and I would have thought that the people who wanted to do this would have expected a couple people to voice an opposite opinion.

One thought is that if just me saying, "I don't like that idea" and then answering a couple Q's about it is enough to stop the momentum of this then I wonder how successful the whole thing would be actually in implementation with perhaps different people accusing you in person of being shills for PokerStars or something and just trying to bring down the competition or whatever, etc etc.

Anyway, I really did expect the hypothetical designs and all that stuff to continue since so many people seemed to disagree with my assessment of the shirts/buttons so the fact that it mostly stopped that quickly seemed a bit strange to me.
