WTF, yes they did. Way to drive your company into the toilet. Guess they didn't teach Business 101 in broker school.

Have to give Mason credit, he gave them time to respond, reviewed their response, and made a decision.

If stars and FT let Stoxtrader get away with this how can they then justify when the average micro/small stakes Joe gets there accounts suspended/banned for multi accounting.

WowI can't imagine FTP sponsoring cr/stox anymore I mean so many issues arising with their pros.

Are the games really getting that hard that pros need to resort to breaking TOS to improve their bottom line?

Haven't followed this really and won't make accusations but I am a Stox member and have been for awhile. I will not be renewing my membership after all of this controversy between all of them.

Dont know if this was posted but Stoxtrader just wrote this on Stox forums.

"In the last few days various allegations have been made that I have played on multiple accounts on FTP and Stars and that by doing so I have violated the terms and conditions of the sites and also cheated in ways including colluding. The relevant facts are:

(1) At no point have I ever colluded. This is a categorical denial without exceptions.
(2) I played on a single account on FTP and a single account on PokerStars for the previous four year period through January 2010. The only exception to this was when I made instructional videos.
(3) In January 2010 I created one new account on FTP and one new account on Stars. I played on these accounts for roughly one month and have not used them since. During that time these were the only accounts on which I played at these sites. I have not played poker since March 7th, and will not play again until I receive communication from a pokersite that I am able to do so.

Since I have admitted to breaking the TOS of stars and ftp I don't plan on playing any poker until I receive communication from the pokersites that it is ok to do so, and at that time I can share the details of any information I recieve from them. FTP and pokerstars are aware of the allegations and I have encouraged them to do a full and thorough investigation to confirm that what I say is completely accurate. I would like to have the opportunity to continue to be a contributing member of both stoxpoker and 2+2, I ask for your patience while these matters are sorted out over the next few days."

Boywonder out your filthy datamining source or we assume keeping schtum about cheating is in your MO and what's more do you just have the screenshot to those datamined stats or did you accept a database?

I have put the company in a difficult position given the recent negative publicity surrounding my breaking poker sites terms of service, and refusal to publicly explain my January 2010 account switch. It is true that I had multiple accounts, though it is not true that I ever used them to gain an advantage or played them simultaneously. I had two accounts at both pokerstars and FTP for 4 years - stoxtrader at both sites was used to prep and produce poker training videos. I generally played lower stakes than my normal games on that account. I also played on 40putts at FTP and knockstiff at pokerstars - these were the only accounts I played my normal games on until January 2010. In January I decided that I needed to switch names. I cannot say why I made that decision, but it is the same reason why I have not been active in the 2+2 forums defending myself and it is something that is ongoing and I cannot make public. I played on these new accounts (bulltf0rdtuff and gr3atvlewbr0) for approximately one month. None of those accounts have been in use since and I will be taking an indefinite break from playing any poker at all.

Because of this, Stoxpoker and I will be parting ways. In regards to the collusion allegations between 40putts and Kinetica and Littlezen and Knockstiff, they are false. In the past I have discussed poker strategy with kinetica and littlezen and we practice similar table selection strategies. I am confident that a full review of our play by the pokersites involved will corroborate this. I apologize for breaking the terms of service of the pokersites by having multiple accounts and hopefully I can continue to contribute to 2+2 and stoxpoker as a regular member in the future and not a representative of Stoxpoker.

That sucks, Nick's videos were some of the best ones on that site. Seems like an over reaction to me. Maybe it gave Taylor Caby a reason to remove Nick from the company but I am sure he is still a shareholder.

Those who haven't colluded at a poker site, please throw the first stones. Ouch why's everyone throwing stones at me?

Please show me ONE person where FTP has banned someone for having a second account. They almost always simply close the 2nd account and transfer money back to the 1st account for micro players. Stars may be different but I have known a few people who have attempted this for rakeback purposes and most get caught/account locked and just told don't do it again. No one gets banned. Now if they're playing on both accounts at the same time it becomes way worse and I can see them banning someone. But I'm tired of this getting repeated when it is just plain not true.

Nick stated in another thread that he no longer has any financial interest in Stoxpoker.

Remember the line from All the President's Men, "Follow the money."

Who benefits most from this resignation and controversy? Could it be a new equity partner at a rival training site?

I see these post on the internet poker forums all the time. I cant verify if what they say is actually true but many posters claim FT and pokerstars have banned them from opening multiple accounts. Check out these recent post below.

This whole fiasco isn't just about Stox FYI:

I was told sometime mid-08 by someone affiliated with CRers that not only did BT have 1 extra account(as he confessed to I believe) he had many of them, and that he even was aided by CRers employees in setting them up. Tough to believe someone low on the CRers staff knew everything, but Taylor did not. This was before Lee even joined CRers I believe, it was being managed by Zimba, who was made to sign a confidentiality agreement before leaving.

In fact I recall a conversation I had with Taylor at the CRers party that year where I told him I was frustrated with the number of people switching accounts on FTP 10/20, and his response was basically that why don't you do it too, everyone else is cheating to gain ev so you should do counter it.

also there is a guest pro on CRers who still multi accounts FTP 5/10-25/50 when he does play it, I've played vs him under both(that I know of) in the past multiple times...and have won significantly vs him so this isn't a grudge post. I'll let CRers out him tho, time they start confessing.

oh and for those who don't play HSNL and are wondering why it takes so long for stuff people have known to come out, its because for most people its better to keep someones 2nd account secret because as long as the secret is hidden you know and few others do and thats it, whereas when it does come out(not publicly, but in the HS community) those players will just get new secret accounts, which then you won't know about.

There were other allegations made in an Email that Viffer posted that accused CR of some pretty gross things. The Email was deleted because of its anonymous origins. Events since the deletion would give its allegations weight in my opinion seeing as how things have played out so far. This isn't over yet and CR still has to answer to some allegations.

Sure, tons of people do shady thing to gain EV. CRs aren't the only ones. This thead isn't about all the shady things that's going on. It is about what Stoxtrader has done.
