the story of how adanthar helped prove there was a super user account at Absolute Poker with the ability to see all the players hole cards is in the 2+2 archives from 9/15/07:

http://archives1.twoplustwo.com/show...fpart=all&vc=1

This is the famous POTRIPPER/CRAZYMARCO hand where POTRIPPER calls CRAZYMARCO'S all-in with only 10-high:

wait.. so you're saying you woudln't call that? thats an instacall phil hellmuth style in my opinion!

That hand in isolation proves nothing but a donk call. POTRIPPER calls CRAZYMARCO'S all-in with merely 10-high.

But it is ALMOST as POTRIPPER, holding 10 9 (suited, of course), knew he had CRAZYMARCO'S 9-high beat.

btw, what is Phil's favorite hand? And what does "nio", the alleged new "superuser" acct at UB mean?

Re: Statement from Ultimate Bet

you have to read the rest for yourself as I don't know what the rules are about re-hashing this again, but I just want to point out AP/UB are sister sites and share the same ownership and software, so I believe bringing it up again now is relevant, especially when someone asked.

I'm not sure if that is the case here. I would think that if it were the case, the user in question would have won the majority of his money from a very small set of users who had the trojan.

I hate to say it, but there are advantages to playing live especially where it is legal and licensed.
Bells should of rang when NioNio tried to cashout. Their win rate was not near a normal rate, which should of initialized an audit of their play. NioNio should of had some splaining to do before receiving money.

Re: Statement from Ultimate Bet

I always found UB to be extremely dodgy, and this press release shows again that they obv. think the same of their customers as Phil thinks of his opponents at the table:
ALL DONKEYS
If I hadnt stopped playing there years ago and therefore could care less, I`d feel insulted by such a **** statement.
Beyond me why people actually still want to play there (guess they havent had the pleasure of doing business with UB`s famous customer support, lol)

Re: Statement from Ultimate Bet

by the way, the nionio account mysteriously disappeared in September as the AP case was breaking--gone, as in deleted; no record of ever existing.

Re: Statement from Ultimate Bet

I have repeatedly asked UB to have an independant "big three" type independant auditor
certify the fairness of its code. Or to have anti-screen scraping technology for us "human" players. Always get the short shifted reply.

And no small wonder UB is withering.

Ya both AP and UB seems to be withering away, I just wish someone would take it them out back put a shotgun to their heads and put em out of their misery.
