Is this some kind of eighth-level metajoke? **** happens? This is a COLOSSAL ****up, and it is 100% entirely PokerStars fault. What next? Some PokerStars tech trips over a power cord and they debit all the players' accounts for lost revenue due to down-time?
We all trust these poker sites to take care of our money. Checking to see that someone in a game actually has the money to be there is
extremely basic and there is no excuse for this to have happened. When you fall asleep at the wheel, you are responsible for whatever you crash into.
When a player sits down and, in good faith, puts his money at risk and wins fair and square, there is no acceptable reason for PokerStars to take that money away. The fact that guy on the other side of the table had $0 is his account is PokerStars fault and PokerStars problem.
