The $10,300 PLO Event 40-H is down to 11 left. ZeeJustin, Isildur1, LrsLzk, Joiso all still in. 386k up top.

Edit: Ben86 took a pretty bad beat, not sure how to post hands, but top set and nut flush redraw on the flop gets beat by Joiso's 45 on a Q678T I believe. He placed 13th

It only takes a couple of minutes tops to post the stuff - although guess the bored Canadians may maybe mostly be home being bored between 8pm and midnight EST? So there may sometimes be a delay

I thought this was an awful idea for an event. Seems I was proved right. Hopefully they don't bring it back next year.

Seems like it. I was watching Lex Veldhuis' stream while he was playing this. At one point, he had the whole table covered, and was just shoving every hand. Can't be too bad.

I enjoyed this tourney, that ChanceCards guy just crushed it late. He made an all-in call with J6o with 2 all-ins ahead of him for 15-20k in bounties. It looked bad but was 100% the correct play(he ran out a runner runner straight I believe to win it). aakkari finished 2nd, but actually came 11th from a cash standpoint.

Play the early game very loose to build a stack, seek confrontations with other big stacks in the middle game. The advantage of a big stack compounds as the tournament goes forward. The value of nut making hands also goes up considerably.

It's just not worth it to go into the mid-late game with a small or middle stack, your potential for profit is reduced drastically.

But the most GTO approach is to not play them.

Didnt play this event but I think there are a lot of smaller effects on ranges and sizings as well. The dynamics of the chip stacks dictate how you should play. You want to try to keep your chipstack above that of the other players so you can reap the benefit of getting the bounty when you win allins.

For example, suppose you are at 9.9K while the rest of the table is at 10K. This is a bad spot to be in as you are not getting a bounty if you get it in allin and win. So you should start opening/3betting a bit more aggressively trying to get ur stack above the others, while at the same avoiding preflop allins. Postflop ur gonna play a bit looser, the other players are gonna adjust for this etc. Or say ur 5/9 on your table and ur normal opensize is 2.5X, however this would put u at 6/9 if you get 3bet and fold, whereas 2x-ing would still keep u at 5/9. Then 2xing becomes the better play with ur range. Same with other sizings etc

I dont see whats wrong with the tourney, anything that promotes creativity and is different from the std boring 9max is a +1 for me.
