Guess last year there was the big Jason Mercier prop bet that lasted the whole summer - and it was easy to sweat too, because all the tournaments were being shown on wsop.com and stuff?

Such a treat to finally have some fresh NVG out of Las Vegas Neat to see some the legends at the tables, still playing like they did on Poker After Dark

Thanks for sharing the fun photos pooters! GL with your games!!
Thanks. I found Sammy Farha too in the high-limit table games room at the Bellagio a couple weeks back.

I degen'ed with him at Baccarat for awhile, he liked betting banker and betting opposite me . He did pretty good at my expense.

I asked him about Jamie Gold and he said "he's a liar and don't trust him..."

Sammy is very competitive at the baccarat tables. He looks way better than when I saw him a couple of years ago at the high limit baccarat room. I suppose that has a lot to do with how he is running at the time.

Sammy seems to be aging well. Gotta say a little bit surprised I was waiting for a typical matusowdegen aging but he looks really good and healthy. Makes me happy. The smile is still there.

No, but that doesn't mean you can't win! lol My understanding is that Sammy was living at ARIA for a year playing baccarat full time (to be fair, I don't keep tabs on Sammy so it might have been 9 months or it might have been 2 years). I can only assume that he was up overall or he just owns a bunch of money trees. During that entire time I only heard of him playing poker once.

I think he was mostly playing baccarat at ARIA though. I ran into him playing baccarat at Bellagio one time but I'm pretty sure that's because there was a blackjack tournament over there.

In his interview in ~2014 he said he had never had a losing year and that if he ever did he would quit poker

Look how happy Trueteller looks in that pic. At a $2000/4000 mix game with Gus on his right, a bunch of live players in every other seat (minus CrazyElior in seat 1), really hot dealer and no Sauce, Kostrysin, Cates or Thuritz in sight!

Seems fair. Although I tend to err on the side of caution when listening to poker players talk about winnings on "untracked Euro sites"

Sounds like Doyle is having a rough series this year. Perhaps this will be his first losing year. No shame in that regardless though.

Is Doyle playing any of the events? It seems like he is just playing the biggest mixed game at Bellagio.

Doyle doesn't play WSOP events anymore. Odds one should get to bet that he'll play one this year:

Just playing the cash games:

Sammy would be great to meet. I think of all the famous pros he'd be the one.

He was fun to gamble with, he would troll people thinking they'd lost in baccarat... slowrolling whatever hand he was betting on... then saying "PAY PAY PAY PAY" when he hit a natural 8 or 9 or won the hand!

He also told me to "slow down buddy" when I started betting more after losing early on.
