wsop, a guy is all in against sam. he asks the guy (an amateur) to show one of his cards. amateur does it. sam calls the floorman. Hand is dead because its not allowed to show a card. Amateur is out, sam takes the chips.

I don't know who's worse, Eskimo Clark or Sam Grizzle.I have seen both asking anyone near the cage for them to spot them a buy-in...pretty sad.I'd have to think 80% of poker "pros" are bankrupt.

Played the final table of the Bellagio $540 with him a couple weeks ago. He seemed like a decently nice guy except for a few random outbursts at floor people. He got sickly lucky a few times but for the most part played semi-decent.

Cardplayer says he got 3rd but pretty sure they made a deal 3 ways.

Sam made a face, as if such a notion was beyond ridiculous. But it was obvious he didn't - nor could he raise it from any of the players still hanging around, if he even wanted to.

Eventually, he drifted off, and the youngsters - the dangerous guy and the good-looking girl - walked through the ring games, hand-in-hand, off to do whatever it is that young couples do after the poker is finally over for the day.

I was in the rio bathroom this summer and overheard sam and eskimo swap 10% in the nightly deepstack they ran. As I'm washing my hands and eskimo leaves, I tell Sam, "hey, I was at Eskimo's table and I gotta tell you, he busted right before the break."

Sam proceeds to slap me on the back and says, "that's ok kid, I didn't even play"

Wow, that Seattle Weekly article is amazing reading. How in the world did they even hear about Grizzle, or did Brunson actually repeat that old Grizzle story about winning the tournament and losing all of his money on some nationally televised poker? Lot, Ryan O'Neal, some guy "Bryon Keith Perkins" who refused to donate his son a kidney after being released from jail to do so, Shawn Kemp, Peter the Great... and Sam Grizzle. He's ahead of freaking Darth Vader and the Austrian guy who kept his daughter locked up for over 20 years and impregnated her with 7 kids!
