Because 77 is consistent neither with the river play nor with the river read. If you want more, read the last 16 pages.

Not the same situation(s) at all.

Re: Russian fold quads in One Drop????
He easily could have had JJ.
This whole discussion is ridiculous, as it does not matter what he had, or what we think he had. All that matters is that the Russian guy thought about the hand, and decided that he was pretty sure the chance that he was beat was substantial. Based on how the hand was played, in his mind a straight flush was a very high possibility. Therefore, as it is his million dollars, a fold is fine.
If he was to find after the fact that the winner had JJ, then he might want to evaluate his thought process and reads, but based on that same though process at the time of the hand, he felt he made the right decision. I can't see how that is wrong.

No way he had jacks, who the hell just calls jacks in the bb 3 way out of position to a tom dwan opening raise? Not a possibility

My comment that he could easily have JJ was more to reply to the previous poster than to actually describe the hand. I don't think he had JJ. I don't think he had 77. But what I think he had is irrelevant. The dude in the hand thought he had T9s. And he could not beat it.

Um, someone who doesn't want to play a huge pot with JJ out of position against Tom Dwan?
JJ is very definitely a possibility, and it's really the only credible possibility besides Ts9s.

Re: Russian fold quads in One Drop????
Regardless of what hand the dude actually had, it was a reasonable fold, IMO. I'm not saying I would have made it (I mean, wtf!--I'm not playing any $1 million tourney's, so I have no ***** idea what I would have done in that spot, really), but I definitely don't think the fold is "lol." He had a read, and he went with it. I'm not mad at him.
EDIT: I would have called that sht. No lie.

Re: Russian fold quads in One Drop????
I'm not folding and I think JJ is a strong possibility as I would flat oop with JJ some of the time.

Re: Russian fold quads in One Drop????
Had the biggest name dropper in history at my table who said the guy didn't have the sf and based this on"inside information" but he sounded like he could've been lying. He namedropped russo, trickett. etc repeatedly. Hell he prob even namedrops Daliman.

Re: Russian fold quads in One Drop????
I don't get the fold and show. Is he trying to show everybody how good of a player he is by making that sick laydown? If I fold quads (I'll never be that good/bad), nobody would ever ****ing know about it. When word got around about this fold there had to have been other instances where he was bluffed out holding winners.
