Donk Down reporting via a recorded phone call Russ Hamilton is working at Occidental Grand Aruba Poker Room & SportsBook as a consultant but plays there.

I'd love to meet the bright minds that thought he'd be a good consultant to run a poker room. A bit like asking Bernie Madoff to sit of the board on an investment firm.

According to the phonecall, they seem to be getting a lot more action since hiring them.

Actually your example isn't far from what actually happens. I can't think of any specific examples off the top of my head, but maybe it was the enron documentry that makes me think this.

The goal of an investment firm is to get people to invest in them so they can skim off a portion of the proceeds relatively risk free. Bernie Madoff got people to invest billions in smoke and mirrors. If he could be even fractionally as successful with a real company he would likely be viewed as a valuable asset at most any company. Capitalism's kind of funny that way, isn't it? The goal isn't to create a valuable service, but a service that maximizes profit.

since he play there , i guess shaved deck, and dealers who set up decks for him. sound like a sweet set up for russ. why does he play at table with hole card camera and why the hearing aid .

haha have to love Micon. Iam very high now but this is awesome!!! what a funny line. Its rather insane this guy is still playing online poker when obviously he should be lost in the desert around vegas
