As for "rewarding people who fold a lot...." you're going to have to elaborate. All tourneys reward people for folding, but the great thing about rush tourneys is that you get more opportunities to stack someone cheaply in the first few levels. Also, there is less waiting. Waiting is what makes tournies boring.

Also, I've noticed no stalling. People love that quickfold button.
Yes, i played in the 200+16$ FTOPS today. To my suprise it was a RUSH tourney, and i got superpissed.

What i mean is; In the early stages we all got a big stack to blind ratio, and folding doesnt hurt us as much as in the later stages. So clearly since the blind increase by time, some people can get in way more hands than other people and therefor have an advantage.

There is a way around this.

Re: Rush Poker Tournaments

also, having more hands isn't necessarily an advantage. Remember, stallers rely on the reverse. That is, the stallers hope is that they'll see many fewer hands than those on other tables and that because of it, they'll last longer with a smaller stack. Indeed, there are those playing rush tourneys who never click the "quick fold" button and near the money they will even use their 7 second time bank every time. I agree though, that the winners of these tourneys are more likely to be the ones seeing as many hands as possible.

Re: Rush Poker Tournaments

In the beginning you want to go as fast as possible to amplify your edge as much as possible. It only makes sense to stall when ICM starts kicking in. They've dealt with that by making payoff increases very incremental until the top 5.
