Rush Poker Tournaments
Would be awesome.
Especially rebuys.
They could switch to normal format after the field thins.

Re: Rush Poker Tournaments
It'd be interesting, rush until ITM, regular tables from then on.
I know one of the reasons I don't play MTT's is because it takes too long.
Obviously this would be a novelty thing, but I'd like to give it a go.

Re: Rush Poker Tournaments
It would be awesome to see a rush poker tournament, just unsure of how to deal with the infinite issues that they would run into.

Re: Rush Poker Tournaments
I don't how this would be so complex, and people can longer time-bank and manipulate stacks to abuse short-stacks quite so badly. Randomly allocating the blinds can't be so much of an issue either, it isn't really any different from the bring-in in stud games in the long run.
Imagine if the 12/180s on stars got this, you could get to the final table in about 30 minutes.

Re: Rush Poker Tournaments
It would not be that difficult at all, until the field gets smaller because obv the less players there are the worse the format is. So as one guy said. Rush poker till the money, then back to regular format would be great imo.

Re: Rush Poker Tournaments
horrible idea.
Say you get down to less than 10 BB, you have no idea if you'll be in one of the blinds the next hand

Re: Rush Poker Tournaments
Double Ice made a post about how to do this for normal MTTs, but it was very complicated(you can find it by searching)
He also suggested just making a rush-cashout where instead of getting a cashout for 50% of your value where you essentially should never cashout, you should get 80-90%, and other than that its winner take all. This reomves the complications of bubbles and whatnot
