I played with Amir in a WPT event a few year's ago. He raised from UTG +1. I reraised from the cutoff w/ AA. I took maybe 2 seconds more than my usual action to decide my play. Amir inta folded AQ and told me I had AA.

Dude could play...

Re: RIP Amir Vahedi

RIP, one of the characters that made the 03' WSOP ME totally unforgettable.

Im not afraid to admit thats what hooked me(and apparently millions) into the game.

Before that I thought "poker" was 5 card draw.

He was super gracious, and on my first trip to Vegas I was playing like 2-5 when I saw him walking into the B....gave him the thumbs up....he gave me the same, came over, and asked how I was doing. Not a big thing, but shows he was appreciative of his notoriety.

You will be missed big man.

I always enjoyed a game with him, and his thoughts about online poker always made me laugh for their honesty and accuracy.

RIP Amir thanks for games.
