I was just saying so guys that can't access the sites knew it wasn't a level or some poor joke.

Pretty concerning stuff.

Anyone have an idea of what this means for smaller sites such as on Merge, Cake, True Poker, etc...?

I have most of my roll on the smaller sites. Think I will cashout part of my roll. These sites do not seem to indicated here yet, but I'm sure this will change their policies and I'm sure the Feds are gathering evidence on these sites.

Meh, seems like a freeroll to withdraw money in excess of what I need to play. I can always re-deposit bit by bit as I need it.

Last edited by Bonified; 04-15-2011 at 02:24 PM. Reason: A negative freeroll not to withdraw, technically.

For example, defendants ISAI SCHEINBERG and PAUL TATE of
PokerStars, RAYMOND BITAR and NELSON BURTNICK of Full Tilt Poker,
and SCOTT TOM and BRENT BECKLEY of Absolute Poker, arranged for
the money received from U.S. gamblers to be disguised as payments
to hundreds of non-existent online merchants purporting to sell
merchandise such as jewelry and golf balls.
C'mon, really? Golf balls?

It's not working here. (norway) ****.

The Indictment and Civil Complaint seek at least $3
billion in civil money laundering penalties and forfeiture from
the Poker Companies and the defendants.

Will non-us citizens be affected at all?
04-15-2011 , 02:23 PM
I don't think withdrawing will do any good right now. Either they will let everyone get their money or it's already too late. Very reactive to do it now, no?
04-15-2011 , 02:23 PM
Is the Neteller again seized/sued payment processor?
04-15-2011 , 02:24 PM
"Of the billions of dollars in payment transactions that the Poker Companies tricked U.S. banks into processing, approximately one-third or more of
the funds went directly to the Poker Companies as revenue through
the "rake" charged to players on almost every poker hand played online."

uhhhhhhh
04-15-2011 , 02:24 PM
The Fact that they are seizing processors is the problem. What's the point of playing if a can't get it off
04-15-2011 , 02:24 PM
Since I am not from Us and not live in the Us I think my money is safe and I will eb able to keep playing online right? poker is my profesion since 5 days ago

FBI Assistant Director-in-Charge JANICE K. FEDARCYK
said: "These defendants, knowing full well that their business
with U.S. customers and U.S. banks was illegal, tried to stack
the deck. They lied to banks about the true nature of their
business. Then, some of the defendants found banks willing to
flout the law for a fee. The defendants bet the house that they
could continue their scheme, and they lost."

This for now is going to be the worst part. ATM we can't really do anything besides speculate, while these government employees can throw every single horrible gambling pun known to man kind at us. Clicking mouses losing houses, i'm sure the ball will be landing on double 0 at some point, maybe even a dog track reference.
