Google DNS is still working normally. My Droid/Verizon is getting the FBI warning. At first my DSL DNS got the FBI warning but when I switched back from Google DNS to default, it still landed on the normal page.

Re: fulltiltpoker.com & pokerstars.com domain names confiscated by FBI

"An arrest warrant in rem differs from a seizure order/warrant because it is issued after the filing of the civil forfeiture action by the court. Once issued and served, the property is either actually or constructively seizued, thereafter vesting the court with in rem juristidiction over the res.

There is no requirement that the magistrate conduct a probable cause hearing before issuing the arrest warrant in rem, as it is merely a ministerial duty that may be performed by a clerk.

However, the use of the arrest warrant in rem has limited applicability in state forfeiture practice, as only two states authorize its use in their state forfeiture procedure."

source

and this...

"Advantages of civil in rem forfeiture include immediate possession of the property. The law enforcement agency obtains actual or constructive possession of the property and retains custody on behalf of the court pending the resolution of the forfeiture action. There is no criminal conviction requirement, and the lower civil burden of proof applies. Hearsay evidance may be used to establish probable cause."

This is not BS and you are wrong.

The domain level information has changed. Those that are saying this is just propagation delays are 100% correct.

It'll be interesting to see if it affects client software at some point, assuming they would be using these domain names for resolution.

This is not a joke.

I remember a site also being confiscated by the FBI recently -- can't remember the name of it, but it was one that streamed TV shows, pay-per-view events, etc.

It had the exact same message as this one. And several online news outlets reported it indeed was taken over by the feds.

I don't have any money on these sites but I went to FT to test the cashier. I can't connect when I select "withdraw" - I get an error message saying they can't establish a secure connection.

I assume the site is getting crushed by panicked withdrawal requests?

Re: fulltiltpoker.com & pokerstars.com domain names confiscated by FBI (also ub.com)

I just checked the DNS settings for the 2 sites working for me (PS and FT). Pokerstars.com has a 1 hour refresh rate, meaning ISPs can cache the result for up to an hour before they go get the updated record. Fulltilt has a 3 hour refresh rate.

So if it is still working for you, it will probably stop soon.

But I guess it depends on how they seized the domains. Some (most) of the .com root DNS servers are in the USA, but I think some are in Europe. I don't know if the FBI was able to change the DNS settings on all the .com root servers, or just the ones in the USA.
