Good advice

Confirmed that the .com sites are no longer showcasing the FBI Warning message and are simply not coming up at all, not sure what that means though. Also, does anyone have any new information on the remaining Merge sites? I know Carbon Poker officially stated that their involvement with US players was not affected by the recent incidents but I fear they are next on the chopping block.

it is standard negotiating ploy to aim high @ start of negotiations. If they ask for 3bn + fines then these sites will have no incentive to play ball. They will simply have to shut shop, something even US DoJ wouldn't want before it ensures the US players can get refunded. The Party Poker guys were a PLC and they paid the fine and left the market. A similar thing will happen here (at least thats my take) with larger fines to boot

Download from this address http://www.fulltiltpoker.co.uk/ If you still can't download the update, you should first uninstall the version you currently have installed on your computer. From what i read, this works for most people. Good luck!

Part of the statement from the Full Tilt site...

Quote:
Unfortunately, as a result of this action, Full Tilt Poker has decided that it must suspend "real money" play in the United States until this case is resolved. However, Full Tilt Poker will continue to provide peer-to-peer online poker services outside of the United States.

For more information, please call +442032877138

Has anyone tried calling the number? Just curious...

Anyone who thinks these sites keep hundreds of millions in cash on their balance sheets let alone a billion is an idiot

Re: Reuters: Full Tilt Poker, Pokerstars and Absolute Poker charged with illegal gambling

but really boys,
does anyone else remember that couple of days ago the government almost had a shutdown because they could not agree on a budget, and you have to imagine why this illegal crackdown of billions of dollars is occuring right after Obama wants to cut trillions off the American deficit,

http://www.pokerplayernewspaper.com/...ne-poker-10315
and what is further confusing and complicating the matter is the issue of DC, where recently legislation has passed on legally allowing online real money wagers to occur within the District of Columbia, Washington DC. So in the nations capital, it is supposedly legal to play poker online............ but on what sites....

the us govt doesnt give a rats ass about people engaging in illegal gambling. theyre not out for your best interest, if they were they would never have brought this indictment.

just like mike vick the govt didnt care about the dogs, they cared about the profits that were not taxed.

money isnt the root of all evil. its the root of all conflict.

Re: Reuters: Full Tilt Poker, Pokerstars and Absolute Poker charged with illegal gambling

The message from pokerstars.eu/uk/ when you install their UK version says "Please rest assured player balances are safe. There is no cause for concern". They say they are experiencing a VERY high volume of emails from US clients, unsurprisingly.
