If you did this, you would effectively become a payment processor. In the eyes of the DOJ, that would make you also known as a money launderer for illegal gambling operations. Might want to re-think your awesome immoral get rich quick scheme, Einstein.

What are you spending your points on?

so what are the chances of a US player finding a stake in one of the few sites that are actually working today?

do you think anybody is going to have enough faith to do this?

Calm down.

I didn't think I could be affected in any way considering I'm not a US citizen - if it makes me a payment processor and liable for anything I'm out lol.

On the subject of immoral, really?

If I was in your shoes I'd be looking for a similar way out - and I wouldn't expect anybody to do it for free.

I don't wish to seem insensitive to the misfortune of others, but much like passing a terrible automobile accident.....I can't help but watch. It's so freaking ENTERTAINING!!!

Can US players access their accounts to transfer and can non-US players successfully withdraw? If the answer to either of these is no then this scheme won't work.

Can't remember the last time I saw 2000 players on Cake this time of night....
04-17-2011 , 01:29 AM
Can't imagine why players think Cake or any of the other US facing sites are immune.

Anyone get their money out of PS yet? I'm thinking no one will be able to as the payment processors are the big focus of the fraud and laundering element. Everyone pretty much just kissing their money goodbye? I have no idea how to get it out as there is no legal way and their methods have been stopped/seized

So i was out bowling with some coworkers. The lanes has Fox Sports on and was showing highlights most of the night. Then in the last little bit I looked up and Mike Sexton muted face was staring at me. My stomach turned and I was a little depressed again.

RIP online poker as we know it.

What is the going rate for monetizing frozen account balances on the impacted accounts?

Is anyone willing to sell the potential of regaining their locked up funds at a discount?

Hypothetically, someone pays you $150 cash on the spot and assumes the risk that your frozen $1000 account.

Any takers? What if, for a fee, you also could buy the right to retake the frozen account balance in the event the money once again becomes accessible?

All the money (in US currency) has been seized by the FBI and is documented as evidence, so PS/FT absolutely has no money at this point. Your account may show up as, for example, $3000. But really, it's $0.

You should just move on and worry about the money later. The money is definitely gone. It is possible that PS/FT may compensate players after the legal issues are resolved, but the compensation won't be a lot.

I have told my friends about this before, but...I'll mention it again. You guys should have had a backup plan before you go into endeavours with a myriad of uncertainties. But oh well; not everyone has the ability to think a step or two ahead.

Rush plo plo8 might as well be a ghostland the game can't even move at a decent speed at such low numbers. Plus I'm so used to playing rush cash that its hard to play anything else.

Yes I can.

How do you do that? My methods are wire echeck or regular check. Do I need to set up a moneybookers account first?

are you kidding me, how can you be certain US players money is gone?? it is quite likely that some judge in US will take pity on 000's of players and ask DoJ to ensure they get their money back asap

Do you have anything at all to back up any of this? No? Didn't think so.

I'm in the USA.

I arranged a withdrawal yesterday from the Pokerstars site for the max they would allow.

I'd like to arrange a 2nd withdrawal today.

Pokerstars wants me to download an update, which I imagine is to prevent me from playing there and probably to prevent me from arranging a withdrawal?

Has anyone downloaded today's update?
Still able to access the Cashier options?

If not, any suggestion (other than sarcasm).

Thanks.

Lustfull greed nothing more nothing less for these crooks who run these sites.
What if this money laundering in part was being used to fund terrorism who knows if it hasent already and other ungodly deeds. What about the operators who pulled out of the US market running legitimate companys and let these greedy bandits take over.
There moralls have a green eye and i fully praise what our country is doing to flush this slim down the sewer.
