Yeah, just wishful thinking.

I think I remember it being talked about a while back that some of the big poker sites had DNS reg'd in the US and how it might cause them problems later (assuming that this is the case and they are US reg'd DNS)?

Right now, everyone relax. It's out of our hands for sure. Time will tell how things will pan out.
I doubt the feds can confiscate records of the sites' users and go after them for income/tax evasion. Well, maybe someday, but for now it's clear that the U.S. Gov't does not want its citizens playing poker for real monies. They're going right to the companies and throwing the book at them. Obv that's the bigger fish to fry.

Thoughts on this?

"Restraining orders were issued against more than 75 bank accounts used by the poker companies and their payment processors"

I don't play on any of the sites affected - all of my funds are on TruePoker. However my payment processor, InstaDebit, is almost certainly caught up in all of this mess. Am I safer just leaving my funds on this site for the time being?

And best of luck to all of you with money on the affected sites.

The hammer has fallen... good luck to those with large BR tied up in those sites. I can only imagine the amount of withdrawel requests being entered as I type this.
