Re: Really, how old school are you?
Sure wish I remembered some of that stuff. But nah... I got in late with the rest of the masses. Missed the golden age of ipoker, but at least I didn't miss experiencing Pokerstars. I miss you, man.

I remember back when isildur1 played patrik, ivey, and durrrr HU at the same time. Some of the younger members may not be able to recall.

I distinctively remember being so amazed at the massive amounts of cash in that game, at least at the time it was massive.. not so much by the pre-BF standards of recent years.

I'm not very old school, but I remember seeing MUCKEMSAYUHH for the first time on FTP and thinking that was the greatest name ever.

I remember that, the card room was always in a constant, fog you had to duck down out of the smoke to be able to breathe – just like entering a sauna, only better. Smoking at the table, whiskey chasers, shooting the bull, scratching the crotch – hell the cards were just an excuse to get out from under the missus thumb. I miss those days.

Re: Really, how old school are you?
I remember when the poker games were 95 percent stud, with one limit hold 'em table going in the corner. I even played five-card draw occasionally.
Watch the opening scene of "California Split." Pretty much that.
