The only motives girls like Brandi have are to get their mark on their side and against everyone else that could potentially say something bad about her. Since there was past history between David and Brandi she could have deffinatly told Brandon something untrue just to discredit anything David might say to Brandon regarding Brandi. There is motive, logic, rhyme and reason. She only says or does things if she stands to gain something. I believe DS is saying that she would have had nothing to gain by speaking poorly of him to others. He doesn't see the angle.
