Re: Official FTP (Pre)Relaunch Thread
Dear FTPDoug-
1. What were the names of the people and their titles in the company who told you to post those official statements for BF?
2. Where those 'official' statements signed off, negotiated, read before moving forward or modified by Furst, Bitar, Ferguson or Bitar prior to posting publicly?
I should also mention that I am not going to give up getting these questions answered as those whose lives were greatly affected deserve an answer.
Thanks,
/Jon

***Question***
Does FTP have records of withdrawals that were never received? I read somewhere that it will be handled case by case basis... For ex/ I had withdrawn my entire balance to moneybookers and I had received the withdrawal processed email but the money never showed up in MB. I had actually emailed MB while FTP was still up and running and they flat out told me they were not honoring any withdrawals from FTP. Has this issue already been dealt with and our balances restored or are we going to have to somehow prove we never got our withdrawal? In that case will our transaction history still show up in ftp?

They just looking to blame everyone and anyone. The people with the answers are not going to be on these threads lol

Re: Questions RE: FTP Shyam Markus/Doug (AKA The Blame Game)
I think this thread is ridiculous. We all know who’s to blame and it’s not some lower level 2+2 poker room manager who was given orders by his superiors. LOL

I agree with the concerns people share.
It really is a shame that PS didn't slide Lee Jones to FTP for the first year to bring them up to PokerStars standards.

Re: Questions RE: FTP Shyam Markus/Doug (AKA The Blame Game)
Not try to blame this guy. Just wondering why PS chose to use the same FTP guy as the spokesperson. It really wont cause any controversy or credibility issues if they use anybody else. And it is not like posting prepared answers in a internet forum is a very hard job to fill. lol

But as the guy putting out the statements, I think he had more of a duty to know.

We need to put alot of this behind us now and look to the future. He works for PS now, Lets give the guy a break okay?
|
That's all well and good, but he is the guy from Full Tilt who was putting out false statements anonymously. He was letting Michele Claybourne take the fall for his statements. (see http://www.gambling911.com/poker/ful...e-060911.html; http://www.quadjacks.net/2011/06/08/...nicles-part-1/).
I'm not saying he did anything wrong or that Pokerstars shouldn't hire him, but I'm saying that he needs to explain how he did not do anything wrong and why he is trustworthy.

Re: Questions RE: FTP Shyam Markus/Doug (AKA The Blame Game)
I'm on OP's side. Kinda weird that PS keeps a clearly incompetent employee to handle FTP player relations after he has habitually lied, knowingly or not, to all the FTP players. The guy admits he believed all the BS the higher ups a FTP were feeding him throughout the couple of months after BF, when if you look back at the FTP Answers threads in internet poker, we here at 2p2 knew something was going on, and this guy should have been in the know...

We the players with absolutely no inside info knew that something was going on with FTP. This guy, with who knows what level of access continued to be the mouthpiece of the trash FTP was spewing to the players. To openly admit that he believed all of it makes him a huge fool or absurdly incompetent. Why would PS keep this guy? And why is anyone against trying to keep this process as transparent as possible? What does it hurt anyone if we ask hard questions of those that work for these companies?

Asking questions does not hurt.
Also, forgetting about the last year and a half and the people who caused it is what could allow things like it to happen again.

It's PS you have to trust, not Shyam (FTPDoug). If you don't trust PS then just take your money and go. It's as simple as that.

IIRC FTP Doug/Markus was still answering questions for several months after black friday on the forums. For him to tell us today that he truly believes that everything he told us at the time was infact truthful as he was either told or thought is a complete and utter travesty and farce.
To be frank, I just don't believe him.

Wat? I am asking questions for either PS or FTPDoug to answer, what does taking money have to do with anything?
And if it was simple none of this would have happened in the first place... If you want to roll over and go on without asking anything, you are more than welcome to. But to try to dissuade others of asking what we feel are important questions of the people who hold/held all that money is beyond obstructionist. Just take your money and go, it's that simple.
