If Full Tilt was close to being a good investment, pokerstars would be the first inline to take them over.

I am sad to say that the mess most of you think/hope full tilt is in is going to be much much worse when everything unravels and no amount of people like Jack Binion are going to fix it in a hurry.

the doj is not entitled to player funds. hence why pokerstars returned the money.

the MET tourneys were only a few months before BF and had huge pools. it's tough to cash out a 100k in a month or two on ftp. most people had to request 5k every week or 2 since bankwires were down, that's probably why some people had so much on there.

FTP is shady and is in trouble with the DOJ and the gaming license people. Jack Binion was born into a shady family and has been fighting the DOJ and the gaming licese people with success his entire adult life. Could be a perfect marriage!!

I think people are referring to the 1 billion fine. Nobody knows if Stars was able to negotiate a lower fine.

DOJ and FTP will probably settle for a lower number but it is a huge amount even if they agree on 2 million. I doubt DOJ will waive this fine just because binion is now the majority owner!
