Who are your 3 favorite Vloggers? Who are your 3 favorite Vloggers?

1. Daniel Negreanu - couldn't wait for his daily vlog during the WSOP! Must be super confident to leave home for a tournament while his pool deck area is full of dudes in Speedos swarming around his g/f and her bffs.

2. Trooper97 - as those who gape at car crashes Timmy boy's at his best when he denies being snubbed in the Vloggers game in Sacra...only to be outdone by his repeated denials that trolls get to him. Watching him squirn during a live stream is MUST WATCH TV!

3. Jeff Boski - lost in the deadpan delivery is the self deprication. High marks in editing and rehashing the highs and lows of his tourney grinds.

Honorable Mentions - To Rayz for that twang, and to Mr. Big now Doug Polk, whose only offense is he tries too hard to make the vlog sustain momentum. Very nice work on his interviews of PH Jr., Jungle, and Frankie for their upcoming challenge. Should've read Phil's book b/4 but not a hanging offense.

Mod edit:

The could be a good topic in here and I like the above post, however:

As many of you probably know there is a Las Vegas vlogger thread in the Las Vegas Lifestyle forum that currently has over one million views. All of the most prominent Vegas vloggers are featured in that thread.

http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/10...ounts-1637166/

Trooper97 gets an overwhelming amount of criticism in that thread and there has been a lot of thought given to closing it because of this. I will be very generous in deleting posts that continue that in this NVG thread. If you want to get on or off the Trooper bandwagon or discuss his stuff go to LVL as it will be contained there.

Most of the poker vloggers that will be discussed are twoplustwo members so you must follow the NVG rules when posting about them.

Alec Torelli. Learned a few things about how to wear mirrored sunglasses like a boss, plus a tip on how to fool unsuspecting opponents into thinking you're shorter than yo uare... it just has to be seen!

(Also, that soaring music gives me a warm fuzzy feeling.)

I wouldn't call either Polk or Negreanu vloggers. While it's true they vlogged during the WSOP (and their vlogs were quite good), that was strictly event driven and not something that they will continue to do on a routine basis. For just general poker-related YouTube content, Polk is definitely my favorite.

I don't know whether I have "favorite" vlogs, but I do have 5 that I seek out and watch routinely: Neeme, PokerKraut, Pokermonk, TheTrooper, and Jaime Staples (his lifestyle vlog, not the recap of his pokerstaples streams). I'll also sometimes watch Jeff Boski, and although I like him and his style, I don't play tourneys at all so I have less interest in that aspect of his content.

Neeme makes the best vids but he needs to play more hours.

The only one I check in on with any regularity is Staples', and that's mostly because I'm curious about how the prop bet is going. Having ongoing storylines seems like a good way to retain viewers in this format. I'm sure it worked well for Trooper before backing out of his various challenges.

Since Doug Polk and Andrew Neeme might make nearly everyone's top 3, I'll instead tout a few underdogs:

* Pokerkraut - not much "poker content" in terms of hand reviews, and just a 1/3 Vegas grinder, but he never fails to bring a smile to my face. Good Vegas content, to be sure.

* Matt Vaughan - Maryland based poker vlogger, good poker head on his shoulders. His channel probably flies a bit below the radar only because the main vlogger thread is Vegas-centric. Although he did go pretty deep in the WSOP Marathon event, FWIW.

* Brad Owen - Vegas grinder. Basically all the "poker content" you'd expect from Andrew Neeme, without quite as slick production values (e.g. I don't recall him owning a drone).

Those videos are so ****ing boring. Can't imagine why anyone with a brain would want to watch 20 minutes of some mediocre live donk talking about his ****ty hands.

This.

Neeme's play never impressed me. For the first 10 episodes or so when I actually gave it the time of day to watch I would always comment challenging to play me heads up til the cows come home at 5/T at my local casino in New York. I never heard of him coming this way. He does some real fishy stuff and I have no respect for his poker game. His video editing though I do respect because he's much better at it than I am but then again I only tried making a video like once in my life.

Neeme is my favourite. I stopped watching any of the others and got bored of the Trooper drama a while ago (except his live streams maybe). Poker Priest is an occasional vlogger who quit his 9-5 recently to go pro full time so he's one to watch in the near future.

Most of the Vloggers are pretty good IMO and I'd agree that Andrew Neeme is the best of them. The problem is that poker is a relatively narrow subject so the Vlogs have a very repetitive feel about them and for this reason I find the amount I watch them is ever diminishing.

I also like Jake Cody's a lot too, but similar thing, after watching 4 or 5 of them they become samey.

This problem isn't unique to poker. Most lifestyle vlogs are repetitive and frankly boring. I think the reason people continue watching them is because they take a personal interest in the creators and become invested in them. You're not going to learn anything new about parenting or see anything exciting in Mommy Vlog episode #576, but that's not the point of watching it. The point is keeping up with how Carol is doing and seeing what the kids are up to.

Internet personalities for many people are surrogate friends.

Are the ones you did with QJ completely gone from the internet? I found We Didn't Get You Fired but not the others. Any chance of a re-upload now that QJ is dead?

See the vlogger thread in LVL for an example. Everyone says they hate Trooper's vlogs and are bored of them but 90% of the thread is still Trooper talk. You can go to other vlogging communities and it's the exact same situation, with drama being the main driving force behind interest in vloggers (rather than the actual content they are vlogging about).

Fair comments.

Fwiw I thought DNegs WSOP Vlogs solved the repetition issue by him showing a lot of other bits and pieces of his day to day life. I guess he was able to because he has a film crew helping him. That series of Vlogs were all very watchable.

Clearly it's much harder for 1 person with only a hand held camera to achieve that kind of intra Vlog variety of content.

Trooper is the OG of all poker vloggers and I can't help but root for ole' Timmy boy. #TeamTrooper all the way. Neeme is cool and all but can his personality and hand histories be any more mundane? Not in my opinion. Dude is boring as all hell. Boski is a bit of a douche nozzle and hypocrite but I like his vlogs regardless. Kraut seems like a very nice guy, great personality and I really enjoy his vlogs as well. Brad Owen I never watch because he might be even more boring than Neeme and I got to draw the line somewhere.

These forums are so boring, cant imagine why anyone with a brain would want to spend hours chit chatting back and forth with knuckleheads about how much pokerstars sucks and how many starbucks coffee Trooper drank today.

Vegaslowroller is the best.
You'll never hear anyone get as excited as him whilst playing penny slots.
