I've played every site since IRC poker. Pokerstars was the first to have 50% PSKO. It's a fact. It's also a fact you can patent game types. I have no idea what OP owns, but it's possible they have a legitimate claim. Nobody has asked for proof. The letter tone reads like they don't have any protections.

It's also a fact that Stars violated the pending Rush patent with Zoom. They hesitated to launch it until they did the math on litigation.

Stars, even when owned by the Scheinbergs, have a rather undesirable record with legal proceedings. Just ask Mikael Thuritz how they shield themselves and avoid liability. Chad Brown can play for his wife and get someone DQ'd, but Thuritz can't get staked.
It is possible to patent games in the US - it is NOT possible to do so in the EU (including the UK). Last time I looked the US was not served by Pokerstars.

It must've been a while since you last looked.

"People come to us with brilliant ideas worth millions of dollars... but they shoot themselves in the foot because their patent application isn't worth the paper it was written on. If you have a product worth protecting, it's also worth hiring a competent patent attorney to write and file the patent applications."

Maybe I missed a change in the laws (google isn't helping on a quick search) but patenting games (in the UK at least) has always been a possibility :/

^^ haha

OP the one rule of a great idea is you don't tell anyone... let alone go straight to one of the biggest companies and tell them EVERYTHING. Also they will never 'reward' you as legally that would be an acknowledgment that they stole your idea.

Finally... even if it was patented, you can actually completely copy someone's idea so long as it works in a different way to their patent (but achieves exactly the same thing). So sorry OP you don't have a leg to stand on and need to forget about it now

You've been told a few times now that you are wrong, but yet you keep arguing. It wasn't your idea.

Here's a post from a June 2014 thread, "View: I think Progressive Super KO's in Live Events are doable," that also claims that Sky Poker had these a few years before Poker Stars did. Is he wrong too?

I suggested big, biggers and biggest promotion, they ran it very successfully and never acknowledged me for it, now they don't run it cause their aim is to kill mitts and make everyone play spins

Years ago I actually suggested the idea of synchronized breaks for online MTTs on another forum with 5 in their name. And to this day, there was never any thanks, let alone a statue or plaque in my honor.

When I was 3 I had a dream/nightmare about a war in the stars in a far away galaxy. I was in it and could even walk in the sky. I told my mother who told a friend who had connections in Hollywood.

I have no idea what that means, but it sounds hilarious. Is that some Russian saying put into google translate?

Is a US game patent enforceable in the EU against infringement by an EU person ?

You are missing it - can't be done.

Now you can try and find a UK/EU patent granted on a game, just 1 is proof, but you can't find one for a reason.

You can find copyright and brand protection but that ain't the same.
