This concerns me. Hard to tell if Amaya is actually trying to do something for the regs they screwed over, or if this is just another step on the way to screw them over further.

Pretty sure it's the latter. Amaya needs data in regards to the effects of the removal of winning players, why else they would throw 100k $ + rakefree games at winning players?! At the end of this road i can only see segregation of players by skill or even bans for winners. Remains to hope, that eligible players will not fall for this "offer" to not deliver themselves to the knife.

If the prizes are for profit it needs tough policing, because it will be very sensible to be in a syndicate.

I think done right, this promo could def generate interest. I hope they make it railbird friendly and have HU grudge matches. Having HU tables that are to a player's names like FTP used to do would def b interesting.

since it was 'hidden' in the home game section and the action was infrequently, railing was hard. coverage was mediocre, BUT if i do remember correctly, there was a similar high stakes challenge (w/ big names like ike, jungle, ben86 ...) and it wasn't that popular either.

don't know about the expectations (from PS' side), so i can't tell, if it was a success or fail for them. can't imagine they had really high hopes, that there will be 24/7 non-stop action and plenty of coverage.
