I don't think much will change. Not sure about rake comparison, but Pokerstars still has best software, best choice of poker variants, best customer support, fast widthrawals...

Rebuy-MTT's will take rake for each rebuy and add-on, in most/many countries, but aside of that, what they gon' do? On PS.fr, the rake is 9+1€ for MTT's, and they also have same rake on rebuys, but anything above that in rake won't be practical for them, since competetors are all at 10% rake.

I am no amused about the way Amaya is going, but I'm also not concerned.

When PS introduced hypers, you had the choice to play them or not to.
More variance and way less/lower possible edges in hyper-SnG's has exactly been the same direction as Spin and Goes are now heading to. (Not to mention how plain boring and repetitive I imagine these games to be, when one grinds them seriously)
Though, you guys decided to join the hype(rs) and give up most of your edge for volume's and rakeback's sake, instead of switching to an other format like MTT's or cash, or even an other variant than NLHE.
I mean, you made yourself very vulnerable by focusing on hypers in the first place, and statements like "all the fish went to play them" don't count, since you'd be playing MTT's, if that'd be the most important thing.

Regarding MTT's:
I forgot about guarantees being lowered. Just realized it again on PS.fr. Now I am personally concerned, too... At least it lowers not just ROI, but also the variance.

None of the currently existing ones, that's for sure.

Players will keep bending over for AmayaStars and competitors will stay either ******ed or chanceless.

They had more than enough time to get better and they won't become it now or in the future.

Either Amaya realized this or they're just as dumb as the competition itself, only being 'lucky' to do it on the biggest site.
