Pokernews article today said the changes went into effect in EU this week and will go into effect in all markets next week.

Then they are wrong. Went live in France, Spain and Portugal on Tuesday. Will go live in all other markets today, with the exception of New Jersey.

Just found the PN article. The max prizes are different in the list and the table below it. F.e. 750 vs 1000 $ for Gold chests or 50 vs 100 $ for Red chests.

They were mixing US$ and € prize tables. Not sure if there are (1) infact differences between € and $ payouts or (2) there is some mixing of preliminary info to final or (3) the difference comes from payouts being different by market due to differences in taxation. Whatever the source of confusion reference the Stars website for your market for the actual numbers that affect you. If I had to guess the most likely explanation is the third one above. Even the old system had some variation by market.

Fwiw, live now in UK. Pretty monster $10M giveaway to promote it (for reference, the promotion in italy, france and spain was €1 million in each market; €250k in Portugal).

how exactly does this giveaway work and how does one participate? tried to find some info, but ofc stars page says "we're giving away 10mln" and nothing else

For all the total **** that this new system is, that actually seems like a decent promo. At least they're putting some of the money they're raping out of the system back into it in the form of promos that will keep fish playing.

They're not adding $10mil - they're adding "a number" of $1000 rewards until they've paid out $10mil total rewards. That number could always be 1.

Hi. if u want to know what the new prog is, i'm in France and it's that :

if you pay 1$ rake, you have 100 points.
to have a bronze chest, you need 2350 pts

to have a "argent" (silver) chest, you need... 6800 pts

oh, if you have made a deposit, you can have a bronze chest for "only" 1400 pts.

I let you do the maths to see it's less than 5% rakeback. Except obv if you deposit regularly, in that cas you have less than 10% fr a little time. So sweet !

oh and for the promotion of 1m by chunk of 1k, the chances to get it are so ridiculous it doesn't even add 1% "ev rakeback". lol

Not so simple:

I'm not regular at Stars, have played 60 000 hands there over longer period and winning 4.4 bb/100.

Red chest is offered for 165 to me, blue for 370.
That makes about 10% for red and 12% for blue.

Probably you have to grind larger ammount of hands and than price of your chests goes up.

so first they remove mobile phone and tablet symbols, then remove status symbols next to player name, if they remove viewing how many tables somebody is playing it will be a f nightmare for zoom
