Party's changes lately have been utterly atrocious. From banning huds on reg tables to inability to detect bots, they're a shambles through and through. Even a few days ago they announced that they were using new accounts from Serbia to test the loyalty program, effectively in-house bots.

If this change is in any way better than the status quo I will eat my own face.

That's a new level of bananas. Worrying times.

I like Party's positive changes recently. If they will be this active in the next 1-2 years they should have a big increase in their player pool.

i remember various improving of party`s VIP programme over the years. it was always state of the art, top of the industry cutting.. at least they let players know this time.

If FPP value is kept in a separate account then giving them an expirary date and pocketing the value of all the unclaimed credits is going to be a huge winfall for the company.

For that matter Stars stealing half the value of each "step" at the end of the month is just as insidious. I lost $10 in value at the end of last month. Pokerskout, says there are currently 53,000 players online on stars. How many unique players does that translate into each month? 200,000? more? a couple of bucks skimmed off all of those players is not an insubstatial amount. I'd guess it's worth at least an extra $10 million a year, possible much much more.

Any news when stars are rolling out the new changes?

if youre expecting anything from party poker i feel bad for you. I think it's either going to be

- same value but smaller chunk to help casuals cashing more often.
- worse value but smaller chunk to help casuals cashing
- much much worse value with some type of heavy handicap for regulars (a little like 888 poker now) and a little more value for casuals

Im sure the current supernova will still be superior to the max value of the new system

Why can't it just be if you play X number of Hands in a month you get X percentage of Rakeback.

There's nothing easier to understand than this.

And it's bull**** that Mid Stakes players always get the best rewards.

If you play 100,000 hands of 2 NL you should be entitled to the same percentage of Rakeback as a guy who plays 100,000 hands of 400 NL

Lol, no you shouldn't be entitled to the same percentage. Because you are investing much higher effort and sums of money to keep on playing the midstakes. In alot of bonus systems the volume based approach is the most natural way to reward regular customers. Also the rakeback % is not based on how high you play, it is based on how much you play, so that a high volume nl50 grinder could make more rakeback than a low volume nl200 grinder.

Online poker is certainly not the only industry where a high volume customer gets better rewards than a low volume customer. Its totally natural if you think about it. Why would you reward nits that don't even invest money in your business?

I got that email from stars that said we are sorry ur getting fked blablabla with no figures or estimates, it only had the link to that article in the blog. Basically they are desperate enough not to reveal anything yet so they can squeeze out more rake in the next 2 months. save us gandalf!

edit: the main quote from that e-mail "Based on your previous play, you will likely be significantly impacted by the new changes. We cannot give you an exact figure, but in the most extreme cases some players will receive up to 85% less than under the previous program." it's pretty likely that me and many others who havent deposited in years and dont degen/have no access to casino games or bettings will lose 85% of our rewards (which have been recently lowered to begin with)

This basically means a headshot to the sng regs right? And obv those 0,5bb eastern european 24/7 grinders.

Majority of SNG games are Hypers with 27-30% rb, and they want to cut that with 85%? --> ~4,5% rb? It wouldn't surprise me, but that will be the end for any good hourly.

all these eastern european 24/7 0.5bb grinders are just being replaced by 7-10bb eastern european bots. frustrating that all the money stars are getting back will be put to 0 use on bot detection. Much bigger problem than all the 0.5bb rakeback grinders
