I always thought the equity calculations were off but then I realized it's because they account for all known cards - ie all the cards dealt/burned. It can be proven by looking at when you have two identical hands in a showdown. The preflop %s are always slightly different due to the flush but then post flop - if it's rainbow then the percentages swap back to 50%.

That's wrong. They definitely do not count burn cards.
Go to somewhere like cardplayer.com's calculator, the percentages are almost always identical.

I would say they do count burns, I have noticed some weird all in equities displayed. Like if you have a pair vs a pair going to the river itd be 2.5 % instead of 5. Dont have screenshots but I know what rickroll is saying

Not much point reporting a 'bug' without screenshots.

It may well count all dealt cards, but surely there aren't burn cards for them to count?

I'm a bit surprised insurance already isn't a thing. Lots would take it rather than risking getting stacked.

I tried doing that at the time but in order to put in a screenshot I'd need to first host it somewhere? I only saw a URL, since deleted them by accident while decluttering my desktop. I'll post again next time I see slightly different odds for identical hands like AsKd vs AhKc

Just upload it on to imgur.com. Click upload images there, then paste it in there with ctrl+v and you're done.

really bad idea imo, its not like a dealer at a casino would inform you of your equity.

I could be wrong, but I don't think i've ever noticed only have 2.5% with two outs before.

2 outs is 2/44= .045 = 4.5%

They're definitely counted from 44 cards on the turn because 11 outs comes as exactly 25.0%.

Yeah but it shows as 5%, and one out shows at 2.5%. I don't recall ever seeing 2.5% with two outs.

If there were 4 hands in the showdown then 5% would be correct.
2/40 = .05 = 5%

Yeah I've also never seen that either, or for something like 3 outs to be just 5%. I don't think he was right, so I'm waiting on the screenshot.

I'm a "regfish" (in the sense that I play regularly but I'm a losing player). For the last 6 months I've been playing o8, and I sympathise with the players/posters who say that it's bad for the game. In NLHE, it's pretty easy to work out equity vs hand and not that hard to work out equity vs range - in omaha, and o8 particularly, it isn't. Those numbers have really helped me improve from fish to not as big fish. Just my 2c.

Yep, this .
Good input. And I actually wish that I had these odds like 4-5 years ago, when I was starting out learning O8 and PLO. Would have helped me and sped up my learning quite a lot.
