How exactly? Most people probably know who Phelps is, but seriously, nobody who doesn't follow basketball will know Lebron James. Most of the people posting here probably only know who he is because of Americans talking about him on here. Huge in america != huge everywhere in the world.

Doesn't mean it isn't either of those two because Lodden could be hugely into basketball, which would skew his opinion obviously, but that's way more unlikely than a footballer.

No active sports star will be linked to a gambling site for obv reasons. It's clearly someone retired, and it is clearly Teddy Sheringham. I knew this before I even opened the thread, and I have never watched a football match in my life.

Yeah, here it's probably less than 1%, I had to google the name myself.

Sheringham seems most likely, would be a great signing.

400 spectators has to be an overestimation. No way the average attendance is that big. I will be really surprised if that is the average attendance.

Re: "Pokerstars is about to sign a HUGE sports star"

In europe, less nordic countrys and UK, Lebron is a HUGE star. Italy, Spain, former Yugoslavia, Greece, ex sovietics republics, Turkey, in these countrys bball is a very popular sport. I meant, in Spain easily 90% of people who follow sports know who Lebron is.

If you ask me for a hockey or american football or baseball player I have to google it.

I was surprised too, but those are the numbers from basket.no for 2007/2008 ( http://www.basket.no/files/%7BAA6FC7...9905E4F%7D.pdf ).
