Perhaps his whole "papi" shtick has normalized in his and some others' head, but for me it still comes off as kind of gross and try-hardish. I'd rather not have that on LATB. I find Joey really likable when he's himself, which often shows up in the middle of long conversations on his podcast. But so frequently in other media it comes across as if he's putting on airs and it's just tiresome.

I've only played with him once and he was fine. Friendly, joking. Not obnoxious at all.

PS You can turn off the taptalk signature in the settings menu. Open the app, click the human icon in the upper right, select settings, scroll down and select signature, none.

Yeah I don't get the population around here that likes him, or at least his forum activity, I have never and will never listen anything of his. Basically every post I've ever seen from him was a shameless attempt to try and troll the online poker community, to play to his crowd and make himself feel better about his own washed up poker ability I'd imagine. Actually He's basically like the Trump equivalent to the poker world. But instead of appealing to angry white dudes he appeals to angry crappy live poker players.

Has there ever been a long term legitimate tournament poker "pro"? Someone who:

- Didn't have endorsements
- Wasn't staked
- Made the overwhelming majority (80% plus) of his or her money that paid for food and shelter SOLELY from tournaments (not cash games or second jobs)
- Has STOOD the test of time as in accomplished this steadily for more than 10 years

Tournament poker is a novelty. It's generally not sustainable in the long term.

i agree that limon does put on airs at this point and has for some time. but the early clp podcasts are pure gold, some of the best poker material available.
