Re: pokerroad will die

I enjoyed BPS alot more when Bob was on the show. Not knocking Shanic, just saying Bob made that show run for me.

Re: pokerroad will die

As long as 2Jacks survives somewhere I am not too bothered about pokerroad.

I liked CashPlays and used to love BPS
- but I CANT STAND the Smith/Seebok/Ali trio on PRR, it's just NOISE,
I felt my IQ drop as I listened.

Really? I refuse to listen to it because of the over-played "Judge Solomon" bit during PRS. Drives me insane.

And as far as Ali, I like him on PAD but he tries way too hard to be "college frat boy" on PRR. Anytime he can squeeze in a fart or poop reference, he does. I mean seriously, I don't need to hear about your "dropping trou and deuces" when I'm trying to listen to a poker show. Grow up.

Man, I just realized I'm kinda crabby today. lol..

The only thing that can save Pokerroad is a daily photospread of Amanda.

And yes, I would pay a subscription if this was offered.

Then they talk about what they would have done in the situation with all the results right in front of them, its just kind of ridicurus. I hope they don't go out of business though, i need something to listen to in the car.
I am just the opposite, i think the podcast was much better in the days of The Circuit and Pokerwire because they talked more strategy.

Re: pokerroad will die

I really like pretty much all the content on PR.

I mean its not like there is a mountain of quality poker podcasts that I have to choose between. Gives me something to listen to when grinding.

Although they need to stop with that Judge Solomon advert, that grinds my gears.

Re: pokerroad will die

Cash Plays was great and hopefully will continue to be. Great opportunity for Bart.

BPS is still very good with Shaniac, IMO. Bob was funny at times, but super annoying at other times. I think the show is just as good or better with Shaniac.

PRR - Since I don't follow the tourney circuit much I sometimes miss these as they come out. For the most part I like it, but don't like listening to old episodes. There is definitely a high noise factor at times.

2 Jacks - Listened once, didn't do it for me.

Life of Ivey - greatness

I think they have a pretty good product overall and it is too early to tell if they'll be able to make it long term. A lot of it has to do with how well poker in the USA does.
