The stream was perfect the majority of the time for me. It did act up a bit toward the later hours, but I am guessing its all due to the amount of people watching, so now that paid has kicked in that should cut way down and hopefully no streaming issues.

Where were you watching it? I couldn't get it to play on my Amazon Fire (it said server issues or something) and I couldn't get it to play at their website.

It worked great on Youtube.

Does anyone know if you subscribe whether it can be watched on Youtube?

It just feels like companies need to be making their high quality content the barrier for not wanting to cancel, not the process itself.
I don't know what he's talking about. Such a button does not exist in the billing section as far as I can tell. It does invite me to update my credit card info, which I deliberately didn't use as a payment method for this reason. lol nice try

I wonder if this is why they're not accepting PayPal anymore.

If they have brains, they will go on twitch 24/7 and show replays of recent final tables, content that's a few days old like a reply of Day 1 of SHRB and other stuff. With an accompanying crawl on the bottom explaining how to sign up for the live stuff.

Major League Baseball gives away the entire first week for free to promote the package. These guys will have to do a lot more than give away day 1 SHRB to draw people in. As it stands, the WSOP has basically hidden its product, and blocking casual watchers from being exposed to it; hard to see how this can be good for poker long term. It wouldn't shock me to see the whole concept gone by 2018 WSOP.

As for me, I do pay for some content....I subscribe to basic cable, Spotify, Netflix, showtime, run it once essential, and I enjoy them. And maybe I'd buy this....but unlikely, since I actually need to also make time for real world stuff, including PLAYING poker not just watching it. There are other places to stream poker too, and after hearing about their glitches, I doubt I'd ever subscribe.

I watched on my computer and tried the Iphone app which worked fine.

You got the app on the fire stick? I could never find it thru the stick.

On the site it talks about the exclusive live streaming of the WSOP Main Event. What about the prelim final tables, will they only be available on pokerGO or will we have the Tuchman streams on wsop.com?

I'm going to give PokerGo a chance and think it's been okay so far. I wished they had more old content but I can find all the stuff somewhere online.

The biggest bummer to me is that there are events that won't be streamed. Imagine being an amateur making a FT and telling your family and friends back home, "No, it's not available to watch online. It was in years past but not in 2017."

Only on Pokergo, as PokerCentral and ESPN struck a deal to do this.

Somehow I ended up on Amazon and "purchased" Pokergo there (it was free, I just had to go through a similar process like I would when I buy something). When I opened my Amazon Fire on my TV, the app was there.

I did the same thing but never see it on the fire stick. I even went to the sync amazon purchases and still nothing showed on the stick.

That's a damn shame. I really enjoyed watching the mixed game streams. Doesn't look like they have plans for that at the moment.

They still do for me (US customer). I paid for a sub using PayPal yesterday, then after reading today's posts I just tried it again using jibberish info, and the PayPal payment button was still functional.

PayPal has always given control over recurring subscriptions, and any of them can be canceled at any time, from my experience.

+1

While I think it's great early days of some of the big NLHE events will be shown, it's unfortunate that they aren't going to have as secondary offerings the limit and mixed game final tables, which over the past couple of years have been a highlight of the WSOP.com streams.

Went out and got a Fire Stick this morning primarily for the SHRB and the WSOP this summer only to discover it doesn't work via stick and you need the full Fire TV. What the hell is the rationale for that?

Was fun to watch on twitch and was getting 25k viewers- the chat was pretty funny as well. Hopefully there'll be somewhere to catch the day 2 stream.

While I have the app, its not doing me any good. I decide to just buy the whole year and see what happens.

I logged in to the Amazon Fire app and verified the device but when I click on replay day one I get the message: "The video is currently unavailable".

When I try to watch Day 1 from their website in Safari, I get the endless spinning balls and no video. I've tried to watch on two different iMacs and nothing but spinning balls using Safari and ensuring flash is enabled for the site as well.

I do get the video to play from their website of Chrome and so far that is my only way I can watch.

Since I pulled the trigger, I'm happy to try some things people are concerned about, just ask me what to look up or test and I'll get back as soon as I can (I'll be gone for the next 4+ hours)

FYI-When I navigate to billing section/membership. There is no option to select "manage" so as far as I can see, there is no way to cancel my subscription as described here:

strange, because this is what it says in the TOS:

Free Trial Period

Your subscription may begin with a free trial. We will begin charging for your selected subscription at the end of the free trial period and the date of such charge will be considered your purchase date for purposes of subscription period calculations. You may not receive a notice from us that your free trial period has ended. TO AVOID BEING CHARGED, YOU MUST CANCEL YOUR SUBSCRIPTION BEFORE THE END OF THE FREE TRIAL PERIOD. You can cancel your subscription by calling 833-POKERGO [..] or by navigating to the Billing section of PokerGO Membership on the Site, selecting the Subscriptions tab, clicking on Manage, and clicking on Cancel Subscription.

Well I was willing to pay $10 for this, but can't create an account. When I enter my details and press continue, nothing happens. So... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I mean if they really don't accept PayPal anymore, then I wouldn't be subscribing anyway.

I think that discount is only for the yearly sub - I had the same issue.

Well, the TOS is wrong. Maybe they initially planned on adding a cancellation button and changed their minds later.

I found the Twitch user experience superior yesterday. Buffering and framedrop issues aside, just having things like chat is nice. So I'll be keeping an eye out for unofficial streams today, despite paying for the legit one.
