The email he posted was completely valid. Most people didn't even know about WSOP.com streaming. I'd love to see what kind of viewership #s they produced.

I binge-watched the November Nine last year. I missed maybe two hours. I have to rethink my plan now.

How are the people that didn't know about WSOP.com streaming last year going to know about PokerGO streaming this year? It's still just all advertised online on poker sites. ESPN isn't going to have anything until the ME starts so it's not like that's going to drive any traffic.

Advertising on Twitch, YouTube, and Facebook Live for starters.

The 2011 WSOP Main Event Live coverage was amazing. I might be bias because I was rooting for Phil Collins but it's so much better watching live in the summer then waiting til September for edited episodes. Very hyped for not having a break either.

This evens the playing field. I've always thought that the November 9 was unfair.

If you're a pretty good amateur who luckboxes your way to the final table you have to figure out things like hiring a coach so you can keep up with the other players that are studying between now and November.

A live pro with a lot of poker friends might get some of the top players in the world to coach him during that break.

Awesome how you have to reload the page on each step of the subscription. I could have paid the ****ing thing 10 times without ever getting a confirmation page if I weren't smart enough to check my email for a paypal receipt when it wouldn't confirm. Looks like these guys really have their **** together. Probably going to regret this purchase.

Really curious to see how this all plays out. If ESPN does it well, this will be AWESOME for poker. If not, it could be really bad. To me, the key to do it well is to tape a bunch of hands BEFORE the live on-air window. This would ensure that they have coverage of the famous TV pros, celebrities like Phelps, Hart, etc, and they can drop that in throughout the show... So they'd come in live, show the wide shots of all the tables, hype up the massiveness of the Main Event, show some of the celebs, then show a taped hand or two from earlier to really set the stage with some exciting action... Then they could go to live play, and if it got too boring or during the shuffle, etc, they could drop in some taped hands to keep it going.

I'm envisioning it as something similar to when the Masters is only on from 3p-7p on Thursday and Friday, and they cut up highlights from earlier in the day to show. I think this would help bridge the gap between what die hards want and what the average viewer would enjoy. It would also be cool if they could cut between a handful of tables while live to pick up big pots and avoid slow tables.

Edited to Add: The timing works out really well, too, from a ratings standpoint. Even going up against pre-season football is a losing proposition for poker. But mid-summer baseball it can hang with and draw some numbers.

So no free livestreams from this from the WSOP? Geez....You think they would be all about growing their festival long term. The free livestreams really created interest in the WSOP for me. WIthout them Im not that interested anymore.

MAybe next year i'll sign up, but not this year.

****ing bull****. this is a ****ty deal. im really pissed off about it

why is it so hard to get answer from anybody??????????????

Is there going to be any free livestreams on WSOP.com this year or not?????

DAniel Negreanu is at a final table today, Gawd forbid WSOP put up a stream for us to watch....

For the first time ever im starting to actually root against the WSOP...not good.

it doest take a genius to figure out the WSOP probobaly gets a cut of the subrisction revenue from pokergo.....if true the WSOP players should get some of that revenue...

The information has been posted in this thread and in other threads several times. The answer to your question is in the OP (and other posts as well).

PokerGO has acquired the exclusive live streaming rights to the WSOP this year. The schedule of events that PokerGO will be streaming appears in this thread and also in the other active thread in NVG (and on their website). And PokerGO is a subscription service/costs money.

There are no free live streams on WSOP.com this year.

Is ESPN still planning on doing the weekly condensed coverage with Norm+Lon commentary or is that just completely gone now?

Just had a suggested post on Facebook from PokerGo.

'Don't miss a minute of the WSOP'

Just as the Tag Team FT is about to start, that they aren't streaming.

Canceled and got a refund for my pokergo sub yesterday. I assumed when they acquired the broadcasting rights that they'd actually be doing some broadcasting. The schedule into July basically shows 6-7 events before the Main, no coverage of other final tables or events.

Honestly, 10 bucks a month is probably still worth that content, but it's more so the principles of the matter. We got live streams for free last year and had MORE content then this paid sub.

Yeah, I rarely watched the NL events, but tuned into every limit game, especially since it seemed like half the time I had played regularly with someone at the final table.

Someone I play with very regularly is top 5 stack out of 29 remaining in the O8 event. If he final tables, no sweat
