Look, I'm an idiot. Can someone just tell me how I can watch the preliminary wsop events this year? Last year, I just opened wsop.Com on my phone and watched the live streaming. How do I do that this year?

I've looked around on poker central and i think im missing something

I don't think this has been determined. Reading through Tuchman's twitter.

Overall this is a great change. No hiring coaches for 3 months. Hopefully they have multiple camera tables and can go to each table as the action changes vs just having to watch same table.

Seems like a chunk of the early live ESPN coverage is during dinner breaks... wonder how they're planning to handle that.

Day 2AB: Live on ESPN 5-8pm. Dinner break 5:40-7:10pm.
Day 2C: Live on ESPN 5-7pm. Dinner break 5:40-7:10pm.
Day 4: Live on ESPN2 5-8pm. Dinner break 5:40-7:10pm.

Good point. I suppose during the 90 mins of dinner break they can recap the interesting hands showed on the Poker Central coverage that day.

Not enough time. I didn´t stop typing, but had no time to think. 58/81. Btw there were 2 or 3 incorrect spellings.

If they show hole cards on day 1, the players at that table also have the advantage of seeing every hand on delay and getting coaching.

Noticed a couple minor changes on the structure sheets on WSOP.com (http://www.wsop.com/pdfs/structuresh...1352_15691.pdf)

Day 2A/2B, dinner break not until 8 pm so ESPN coverage will be from 5-8. Day2C starts at noon instead of 11am now, I think this is so dinner break is at 6:40 (ESPN from 5-7). The structure sheet I believe has a typo, as it still says 5:40 dinner break on day 2c but if you time out the levels starting at noon it would be 6:40.

Day 4 also has dinner at 8 to accomodate ESPN.

The stretch post super bowl to march madness would be great.
Football season already brings in a ton of people to Vegas. Summer months are the slow season due to the heat. WSOP brings people out who otherwise wouldn't go AND, as mentioned, is the time people are best able to take off work especially if they used vacation time around Christmas.

You keep mentioning "sitting inside for a month." I'm guessing you must live up north somewhere where the heat and humidity isn't super oppressive. There are plenty of other areas in the country (dare I say more areas than not) where going outside in Summer is miserable.

Props for the Sporcle game, by the way. I got 22, mostly because I remember the first table very well and Ivey's table so-so. I was comically bad at remembering 2nd-place finishers, though.

Live on TV is just awful. I'm glad the nov 9 is gone.

I say it all the time: I hated it at first, grew to like it, enjoyed it for the first couple of years, but saw that it really didn't achieve what it was meant to. So all in all, I'm good to see it retired.

the chance of epic punts just skyrockets when they dont have a full 3 months to prepare with a coach

november 9 had to be bad for tv in that sense, 3 months is a lot of time to change from a tired spewbox into a composed nit

epic punts ftw

The purpose was so they could show the picked out hands over a period of weeks. People are getting tired of that and prefer live coverage with all hands. Also, the audience is smaller and more knowledgable.

FYI-Poker Central posted a message on Facebook stating their apps for xBox, Amazon fire, etc are being updated. They claim they'll email when the new app is released.

I'll pass along the news here if and when they let me know something

Have I missed news about non-ME side event streaming? I really hope Tuchman is back - as deficient as ME coverage was in the past, side event coverage was solid with @Tuckonsports and guests throughout the World Series.

And Poker Central is going to cost $10/month. I'll definitely pay for it through the WSOP but I'll probably cancel it after. I can't imagine they have enough content to justified a subscription.

Says they are going to stream a dozen WSOP bracelet events but I'm assuming all NLH. No more mixed events with Tuchman? If so very disappointing. Especially when they finally figured out hole cards for omaha and stud last year.
