as a trader i can tell you that anyone who uses a strategy that results in 100% winners is asking for trouble. it works great until the next crash, at which point you may wait 5-10 years to get back to even, nevermind on a purchasing power basis.

Conveniently, the fund's inception was April 2009 at the trough of an extreme market purge. There are plenty of yahoos whose picks are up a similar amount in the past 13 months. Also, LOL sample size. ask her what her ROI was between 2007 to March 2009. Such a gross advert in so many ways.

I get her newsletter. She is a very studious and conservative investor. She does alot of research and makes small conservative plays. Her record has been achieved during a very good time in the market but I would also follow her advice through the tough times.

BTW she co-authored "Check Raising the Devil", the Mike Matasow biography. Thats just another example of her brilliance.

Enough praise. You owe me a drink Amy.

It's surprising that someone as well spoken as she seems to be wouldnt be embarassed about that ad. Or maybe she is.

It's just all sorts of awful.

APR 42%
MAY 35%
JUN 29%

SEP 13%
OCT 8%
NOV 8%

* super secret involved investing $10k in S&P 500 on the 15th of every month since April 2009.

and get a load of this BS, I'm pretty sure no one was playing beer pong back in the 70's.

Fresh out of college, and two weeks into her first job at IBM, she made her first investment in the market. By the time she was 24, while her friends were still playing beer pong, she made the down payment on her first house with the profits.

Re: Poker Writer Amy Calistri...stock market guru?

Photoshop rocks...am sending it around the office now.

I launched my newsletter in April 2009. At the time, the rally was short-lived and no one knew if it would hold. But we've had a year-long rally and I've had a very nice tailwind for my portfolio. A good poker player needs to know the difference between a lucky streak and a skillful run. I think I've chosen wisely, but I'll be the first to admit I had a hot market to play with. I suspect the real test has just begun. Damn you Greece.

Best,
Amy Calistri

P.S. Drinks are on me in Vegas all next week Debonair

LOL @ 100% of my "closed trades" were winners. What about the open trades / positions? Just riding all those losers to the pink sheets.
