Bang! Bang!

Amazing.

There are hundreds of players at the WSOP backed by a handful of somewhat wealthy to very wealthy entrepreneurs, backed to the tune of tens of thousands of dollars. Yet, a regular guy who struggles to make a few bucks from vlogs, poker, t-shirts and the like is the target of the longest lasting, at times most brutal and personal, attacks this site has ever seen.

Amazing.

I'm not really defending him. I am just confused that you say things like "I am not alleging anything" and then write numerous paragraphs where you allege things. It confuses me.

And if his primary motive was to make as much money as possible by taking advantage of his opportunity to collude, why would he spend his time going to concerts?

I would submit that there is scant evidence that he has even played a SNG with his buddy since he's been in Vegas. They didn't play at all his first day, and then the second day they didn't even meet up until late in the day, right? (I can't say for sure, I don't watch many of his videos and hardly ever watch all the way through.)

So, if your theory is correct, and that they are actively seeking to cheat, they certainly aren't maximizing their opportunity to do so.

And what about when his buddies were staking him for the PLO game? Was that collusion as well? Or was that evidence that the Trooper will take time out of his normal schedule to play games he normally doesn't play when his friends are in town?

Trooper's haters/trolls/me are still viewers as we need to watch the vlog to know what's happening. Plus some of us try to help him by getting his name out there and get him a bunch more new people to tune in because he is now the talk of the town. Plus, when was the last time anyone wrote an article about him like PokerTube just did?

This whole #colludegate thing should give him a huge boost in views and thus feed him and pay his rent. He should be thanking all the "haters/trolls" for keeping "a regular guy who struggles to make a few bucks from vlogs, poker, t-shirts and the like" relevant.

First Bolded Text:

Because he is SUPER lazy, makes horrible money and life decisions, and doesn't know how to prioritize things correctly in life. In his defense, it was just one concert and I'm sure he was looking forward to it for MONTHS. It's his favorite band and his last link to a time when he was young and life still had potential.

Second Bolded Text:

The first day he didn't even meet up with Harry because Harry just got off a flight and blew Trooper off. The second day they didn't meet till late because Trooper doesn't get out of bed till the afternoon and doesn't leave the house till the sun is down. He's a very busy person, you know? They tried to get into a STSNG TWICE and FAILED. Trooper even mentioned that they were going to chop profits 50/50 if they got into one of those tables.

I can only say that Trooper doesn't make decisions to maximize profits when playing poker as shown in his 3+ years of vlogs (skips playing during busy weekends, plays higher stakes midweek instead of weekends, doesn't play long enough hours, cuts winning sessions short and stretches out losing sessions chasing loses, etc.) so why would he start doing it now?

Third Bolded Text:

Only when they are staking him. He seems to drop everything when someone else is paying the bill, that's for sure. Trooper got the best meal he has had in the last 3 years and possibly in his life when his friends came to visit from NC.

Interesting timing for sure. Trooper has only been to a very small handful of shows despite being in Vegas for 3+ years and yet rather than playing poker as he normally does he immediately goes to a concert right after being accused of collusion. Very very interesting timing indeed.

I have nfi who this guy is and beyond him probably being a colluding douchebag don't particularly give a ****. But to make over 30k at satties (and my understanding is they were playing the lower ones) as someone who struggles at 200nl live requires either the run of your life or a regular grind. Going to one concert doesn't stop you from "grinding your ass off" in a particular month.

Assuming you sleep a full 8 hours every day, there are still 112 hours left every week. It's perfectly reasonable to put in 40-60 hour weeks while going to a concert even multiple times per week. And yes playing 40-60 hours of poker per week is "grinding your ass off". And honestly from the sounds of it he never played satties before. Going from 0 hours/week to 15 hours/week would be "grinding your ass off" comparatively and certainly a far cry from "wanted to catch up with my friend".

This thread has run its course and is starting to become similar to the cesspool of the LVL vlog thread that contains several pages of Trooper97 discussion. This issue is also being discussed in that thread so if you want to continue this discussion follow the link:
