Re: Poker stars Full tilt deal, NOT a good thing for poker!

OP < Negative Nancy

I have independently confirmed this story by thinking about it.

Nowadays when you open two tables you get cards dealt like 49 and on the other 94 or other software invented combinations. The bigger Poker stars grew the worse the odds became for the individual player and mathematically it all makes sense of course, but if you have to muck 20 hands or more it’s not much fun anymore. More, I suspect that the software isn’t randomly like it was.

At first I was like, 'hmmm...well, except that...' but then I thought about it and you know science, and google, (don't forget amazon), and stuff. Pretty sure OP is right, good work sir, you unlocked the matrix. Do you have any kool aid left? This science is making me thirsty.

This has been 'independently verified' by OP though, right?

And because of it’s colossal size the change of being a profitable player will be comparable to buying a lottery ticket.

A few years ago you could play a reasonable game on Stars and your odds to win or getting good cards were quite normal.
Poker stars came with a solution for the enormous amount of unplayable cards, they invented Zoom; a mindnumbing jackpot activity that has not much to do with serious poker.
Just compare your winning streaks of today with that of 2009 and you’ll see that the game of skill has resulted more in a game of change and that the online pokergame eventually will degenerate into a moneygrab (rake) industry.
The plan to take over full tilt will create a poker monster website and will therefore not benefit You as a pokerplayer but only Poker stars itself.

I started reading just to see what type of arguement could be made about (what is imo) such a silly notion and got about halfway before beginning to think I was getting hugely leveled.

I can't tell what you're serious about and what u aren't, but this is one of the best things that has happened to Internet poker. More players means more games more money bigger tourneys more availability and obviously more rec players. Whats even better is they've proven their integrity on NUMEROUS occasions and them expanding those principles even further to the community around the world is GREAT for helping the game to continue growing and having positive light shed on it.

I probably got leveled into posting that, but I'm hungover and idgaf

Pretends OP was a joke to save face.

Continues to try to argue points made in OP.
