Alotta truth but, then again. Full tilt couldn't be in a more respected reliable brand name.

I am hoping that if/when we get online poker is the US - those overseeing the site actually do verify and check continually that the cards are truly random. I felt that on both PS and FT the cards were not consistently random - with the desire to "juice" the deck and make the rake higher or perhaps even shadier than. This particularly seemed to be more so in the older days and to a lesser extent in the modern era, but even now not a "it never happens here" sort of thing.

I would like to see both companies to be as they were before Black Friday.

And because of its colossal size the change of being a profitable player will improve.

Now you can play a reasonable game on Stars and your odds to win or getting good cards are normal.
Nowadays when you open two tables you get cards dealt like AA and on the other KK or other software invented combinations. The bigger PokerStars grew the better the odds became for the individual player and mathematically it all makes sense of course, but if you have to muck 20 hands it's pretty standard. More, I suspect that the software is random like it always was.

PokerStars came with a solution for the enormous amount of playable cards, they invented Zoom; a mindnumbing jackpot activity thats more fun than serious poker.
Just compare your winning streaks of today with that of 2009 and youll see that the game of skill has resulted more money in your pocket.
The plan to take over full tilt has created a poker monster website and will therefore benefit You as a pokerplayer and PokerStars itself.
Fixed!

PokerStars is not a monopoly even with FTP... As Ipoker becomes regulated around the world various casinos and other networks will come into play. And so what if Stars now owns FTP? It's not like them being offline provided any competition. What players need is open competitive markets. There will be plenty of choices.

FTP was for the known facts unsuccesfull and ill directed but then again great software and very creative in producing and sponsoring good pokershows. PS just swallows the market and THAT is not in your interest.!
Why not play on smaller pokersites (where your odds are better) and why
not compete with PS ?

LOL +1

But the OP, and the rest of the concern on this "bailout" deal, will only be truly realized when PokerStars raises rakes for consecutive years at some point.

Not that this would affect US players, anyways. I'm very bearish on a deal for online poker in the cards for the next 4 years.

The only thing funnier than all of the "I don't understand why PokerStars would buy full tilt!!" lightbulbers are the "omg monopoly" guys.

94/49 was meant as a metaphor for statistically getting to much craphands compared to earlier situations.
