there is no doubt that there is sick money to be made being a professional prop better(IMO, the one doing the tasks usually). Networking would be key

a couple of questions,

$500k in debt due to gambling and he works in a casino? in debt to who? don't they have rules/regs about this?

how was he ever going to pay back his backers if he lost? $1.5M in debt?

are they any highly paid jobs actually working in a casino? of course, the CEO of Harrah's but that's not "works in a casino"

btw, unless you were obese i almost never think "after photos" look better than "before"

He was on a freefall for the bet. He is a poker player he doesn't work in a casino. He has done a weight loss bet before and barely missed it. The rules were no steroids or other peds. Had to pass a lie detector test at end to win bet. Either way super impressive with his determination and result. At time seemed impossible without peds but I guess they under estimated what you can do when you don't have a family or work and can use 100% of time on this

"He said a few big losses at the poker table left him more than half a million dollars in debt."

What's he playing?
$1,000/2,000?

Half a million in debt, works as a towel man in casino bathroom, able to take a leave of absence for 6 months, hire a personal trainer on retainer and borrow a million from Perkins and the King of Instagram, win bet....pay off the half a million and his backers cuts and now back to his towel man duties.

Just another 6 months in paradise.

I had a buddy lose 80 lbs in 3-4 months just playing discgolf and still drinking like a fish. It's not that hard especially in the summer.

He wasn't obese to begin with...his first picture is just fat over previously acquired muscle. You can tell he has prior athleticism or weight training from years ago.

Nothing a little test and adderall can't fix.

You lost 1.3lbs of body fat a day on average? That's 4500 fat calories. I'd check the accuracy of my body fat scale..

Losing 18 pounds of weight in 3 weeks isn't really difficult if you are big enough to start with (5"10 and 184 counts) but losing 27 pounds of fat would probably qualify as a medical anomaly.

He looks about right on the line of obese. I was right on the line and had a body a lot like that. It's pretty easy to get to what's considered obese.

Scientifically impossible.

Don't forget some people on here are educated.

The amount of weight you lost isn't even mathematically correct. even if you lost 18 lbs of PURE fat it still wouldn't account for a 14% decrease in body fat.

Seriously, your story is s far fetched I want to throw up

10% of 182 is 18.2 plus another 4%. woops

And that's losing pure fat which is impossible on a cut.

According to his math, he lost 27 pounds of fat. Since wait loss usually also comes with water weight loss, he would probably have lost another ~8 pounds of water. To lose a total of 18 pounds while losing 35 pounds of fat+water, you need to gain 17 pounds of muscle. Getting there in 3 weeks on one hour of working out a day would be pretty impressive.

Actually it is possible for his #s to be correct if he gained a significant amount of muscle in addition to losing fat. You are assuming that his non-fat bodyweight % is static, which is rarely the case. He could have cut 14% bodyfat without losing any weight, even.

It's impossible to put muscle on and lose fat at the same time.

You can't add muscle while being in a severe caloric deficit.

Think about it.

This is almost as bad as shaq telling people he Was 0% body fat.

Seriously general public is so ****ing stupid when it comes to body fat and health

Depends on your definition of "at the same time". The body might not be able to do something catabolic and anabolic at the same second, but over a 3 week period that is certainly possible. An example could be a very unfit obese person who starts lifting heavy weights for a couple hours a day to lose weight. Some kind of muscle gain could be a byproduct of that. I've also heard about people losing weight and gaining muscle the first couple weeks after starting a ketogenic diet and working out.

Trying to do both at the same time is just very inefficient compared to doing it in longer cycles like bodybuilders do. But physically it's possible to lose weight for the first 10 days and gain muscle the next 11 days of a 3 week "project".

Sure theoretically, but like you said rare scenarios this happens. The above poster is full of ****.
