Re: Poker Player Brad Booth stole ~$28,000 from Me

if it is a direct exchange, it isnt a loan, if you expect repayment for giving somebody a transfer or whatever it is a loan.

The fact of the matter is this, just dont do it with people you don't know well enough! He could have a whole bunch of money walking around that is not even his! then we dont have to go through these stupid threads, same with sam trickett; you were scammed not robbed. Stop Loaning Money in These Economy You Won't Get It Back!

So if I buy a computer from best buy or new egg online and I never receive the computer , and never get a refund, I loaned them money?

You are just wrong. It was a business transaction that he got robbed in. Just like I was robbed in the example above.

wiki came up with this

In 2012, Brad Booth by his own admission failed to repay $28,000 from a fellow poker player Douglas Polk during a cash-for-online funds swap.[5]

OK, so does doug just get put on the back of the bus cuz Brad Booth owes other people money? He straight up scammed doug. Doug should be his #1 priority in terms of paying people back.

How do you know Doug should be first in line? Maybe he stole from others in similar fashion a year or two ago? Also Doug has to change his name if he wants the poker community's sympathy. He must distance himself from FTP Doug.

Re: Poker Player Brad Booth stole ~$28,000 from Me

I had a horse run away from me after binking a mtt. LOL His excuse was, O It was a single game stake another potential staker sent me a single game stake, I didn't use your bankroll for it.

LMFAO really?

And goes I can still pay you your makeup if you stake me for more games. WTF happened to your 8k score with my staked buyin I sent you? even after binking a score this former horse of mine still tried to scam me even more.(Pedro ********) I will see you one day my Portugal prodigy Jose wannabe mother ****er! lols but anyways-

When they are in this midset they arent thinking correctly. Brad must of been going through alot and clearly doesnt have good friends around him if this was going on for multiple years!

At least he admitted his wrongful doings right.

Only can get better from here.

if he owed from a loan it is different, this was a swap, not a loan. if he scammed someone a year ago they could reasonable be higher up on the list

Re: Poker Player Brad Booth stole ~$28,000 from Me

So let me get this straight.

A busto gambling degen, who hasn't had $50K for over 4 years, who also has a drinking problem, is going to pay back hundreds of thousands of dollars by gambling?

ummmm....sure....this is going to end well.

Re: Poker Player Brad Booth stole ~$28,000 from Me

The only way Doug gets paid is that he keeps tabs on BB to see when he hits a final table and literally camps at the payout window. When Brad shows up to collect, Doug makes it clear he expects Brad to pay out a significant portion of Brad's share immediately to pay off his debt. Hopefully, Brad's other creditors are not around.
