Imagine thousands of $5-$20NL grinders with the skill of $2kNL grinders. Also, they have no respect/care for white people or ethics.... so expect plenty of DoN Collusion theories and similar scandals.

Poker needs more big, fat, lazy, rich white people, ldo.

This has to be a troll.

Indians who are legit tight asses will just poo-fling ldo. The good players will learn the strategy and adapt like other good players of other races. The degens will degen. Do you think Jewish players are destined to suck at NL too because of their stereotypical reputation?

Re: Poker Booming in India

I'm Indian, but I study in the UK. I think I can shed some light on quite a few issues.

Online Poker is not illegal in India. We still, for the large part, follow really outdated laws - in most states gambling in a public space is illegal, with regard to games of chance. So, there exists quite a bit of ambiguity when it comes to the Internet. But will there suddenly be a large influx of Indian Internet grinders? Well, no. The cost of living in India is considerably cheaper in India and a 200/300 dollars is a lot of money for a lot of young Indians most likely to deposit.

To be fair, I think you'll see a lot more Indian grinders on the tournament scene as opposed to the cash game scene.

But for live poker, this can only be good. Not all Indians crunch numbers and kill the game. In fact, in my experience, the majority are loose passive and love to gambooool. Macau, Vegas and even Goa will sport tons of Indian whales. Happy hunting!

And rich students that head to the UK, US to study are so lucrative it isn't even funny. I swear, I'm happy to be brown and be constantly invited to home games with these guys who want to play in pounds, flat aces pre after 4 limpers and stack off.

Caveat: some/lots of generalisation. :-P

Re: Poker Booming in India

A national poker boom is always a good thing for the game and if it is happening at one of the most populated countries in the universe it has to be even better, no matter if they all play 5nl
