How long does it usually take for your money to appear in the Skrill account after you request the withdrawal? Still nothing after 24 hours for me.

House of Reps only sitting next two weeks, and I'd say majority will be budget related. Best bet is mid-June, but possibility of being pushed back until August

I believe emails from starsaccount.com are being blocked by Telstra for bigpond.com email accounts.

Weirdly my email address is not blocked but 3 of my friends are blocked, all with bigpond addresses. Confirmed emails receive for global email address.

Anyone else experiencing this? It seemed to begin about 6 weeks ago.

Under the circumstances, are PS still not allowing the withdrawal of funds to credit cards unless you've previously deposited using the card? If they are still allowing deposits, how hard is it to make a deposit using a cc and attempting to withdraw shortly after funds have cleared?

It can take up to a couple days for the money to hit Skrill but usually takes less time than that, once they send it its basically instant its the time it takes them to process your withdrawal thats the waiting part

Yes can only cashout to same cc. You can only cashout 3 or 4 days after depositing

Log in to stars and check pending withdrawals. It's usually instant, if it's not, there's often a hold on withdrawal and a request for you to contact support. This happens a lot.

Although I use telstra I don't use their email service so can't comment on this topic but can I suggest to anyone reading this that if they have any sort of significant sums of money in their poker accounts (obviously significant is relative to the individual) that they use something like a gmail account for poker where they can at least have 2 step verification etc.

The law does not ban online poker.
The problem is that Poker Stars needs a local license.
But there is no way to apply for local license now.

Senator David Leyonhjelm can ask the government to set up a law for issuing a local license.

This is the only possible way to save online poker in Australia.

I used to use gmail 2 step verification until a bug rendered my account locked. It was a weird android bug on my phone that caused my gmail to be locked across all platforms. I am disinclined to trust google software developers again. I agree with the 2 step security but not from that vendor.

After black Friday I only keep the bare minimum in online poker accounts to cover daily variance. My roll is much more secure elsewhere.

Logged into 888 just now and apparently there is no method available for Australians to withdrawal money? All I got was a popup with a phone number to call for more information.

Hello, have used Neteller and Skrill for years. My tips: open 2 accounts for both (different names) get prepared to pay alot in fees. Neteller when verifying a ccard sometimes forgets to put the 'code' in description (not tilting at all). Skrill has the quickest bank withdrawal times (once hit my bank account within 12hrs) Neteller very very slow on bank account withdrawals. Neteller has poli deposit option (that works). Skrill poli never works for me. Skrill accepts Amex so when depositing (you have to click not for gaming services) then transfer to neteller or your other Skrill account and can then use to gamble. When depositing with Skrill it can take a few attempts to go through. Even when transferring Neteller to Skrill or other way it sometimes takes a few attempts (crazy considering same owner). Other fee reducing deposit options on sites is using Paysafe (pins) same owner as Neteller and Skrill. Drawbacks of Paysafe is (if buy online again fees) you have to go to shop to buy them and max pin amount $100 and $600(maybe $700) in one transaction. Best place to buy Coles and Woolworths(no fees) using your AMEX (points ppl) Mastercard Visa or debit cards or cash (you can keep doing as many $600 purchases as you like) but very annoying entering the 16digit pins when depositng on gaming/poker site. Also you get very long reciept at checkout. Heard a rumor Neteller/Skrill introducing a no fee fee where you pay no fees on deposits/withdrawals ever again for a small flatrate 10% fee on all future deposit/withdrawals))) Of course the 3.99% currency rate exchange will remain(remember thats on both in and out). In saying this I've withdrawn my money from all online sites after I heard about the PokerStars withdraw issues.

Also, several Liberal senators/MPs have expressed support for our position privately but the party votes as a single bloc so we'll need to convince them to support Leyonhjelm's inquiry/recommendations when the time comes internally within the party as part of their platform to get to a majority (or do the same for Labor and potentially other crossbench Senators)

@Siggo why would you open two skrill/neteller accts each why not just one? That advice doesn't make any sense

@2powerful why don't you call the number? 888 withdrew from aus market and most players will have withdrawn already just follow their instructions and report back

Worth noting all deposits on Stars have to be played through before being transferred as well as withdrawn now. Stars support claimed it's always been this way, but it hasn't obviously only started this week. I assume we'll be able to withdraw full amounts regardless of playthrough requirements when they withdraw, but might be worth clarifying in advance for anyone planning to make any very large deposits relative to their volume

Thanks for the answer.

I am not sure how many MPs will support us.
If there is a possible way for online poker rooms to get a local licence,
then Poker Stars should get it.

Are Hinch, Leyonhjelm, Pauline making a request for it?

Doug Polk just posted a video claiming that Vanessa Selbst, Dan Smith and maybe Vanessa Rousso got hacked while using 2FA with their phone SMS. SMS 2FA is not safe: don't use it! Your phone is easily transferred to an imposter because phone company security is really naïve. Secondly passwords should be minimum 32 (and growing with passing time) random characters to prevent brute force hacking.

Use 2FA with hardware security device or keep an old phone used solely for 2FA with no-one knowing you have such a phone. The phone number any "friends" have should never be used for security.

IMO, the very best first line of defence against hacking is anonymity. Don't have a high poker profile in real life or a known real name on forums without adding "best of breed" security.

Tim

SwoopAE: Open 2 accounts so you can use Amex and if the other ccards adopt same policy as Amex you can use them as well.
