For what its worth i've cashed out ~10k with no issues off a 1k deposit on one of the sites via broker (Monster in my case; I know Master and Natural8 also have decent traffic, but haven't played at either yet personally, I plan to try them all out at some point) but obviously they're operating in legal grey areas so proceed with caution and there's a built in risk there that a dodgy broker could not pay you, or a site could stop working with brokers to cash people out or whatever. I'm sure more Chinese play money but actually real money wink wink type sites will pop up as poker picks up steam in China if it does. At the end of the day it's an option, ACR is an option but comes with all of the risks of servicing the US Market etc and there are no good options once the mainstream reputable sites go in terms of trustworthiness.

The best thing for all of us obviously is to work with Sen. Leyonhjelm and our other supporters to convince the LNP insiders that a legal regulated online poker market is the way to go once Leyonhjelm starts his inquiry it'll be up to us to make some noise and support him.

Given I play 5/10nl and micro tournaments I don't believe ima be finding an agent anytime soon. So acr might be my option.

Still plugging away, haven't been on here as much as work has been crazy. Should start to clear up shortly though (I hope).

There hasn't been too much point in doing anything at the moment as all of the focus is on the budget. It is best to save resources until that goes through.

I did catch up with Senator Leyonhjelm for a very quick chat the other day which was good and I have been in contact with Minister Fifield's office.

They have indicated that he is open to meeting and discussing this with me and we are just working on a suitable time.

Hopefully something good will come of that.

any more info on this? from my exp ipoker and micro both already didnt allow a lot of skins in aus. when playing on those networks i had to use complete garbage skins boylesportspoker (ipoker) and pokerloco (micro). But played micro today without anything abnormal

haha i'm in the same boat with ipoker skins. Betsson support confirmed that it was due to the legislation but i didn't clarify whether it was network wide.

I know that microgaming pulled out of Israel, however a friend told me that one skin was still servicing them.

Hypothetical d-day is anywhere from the 9th may - end of june.

last night I got this email from betsafe 'a microgaming skin'

So from Monday next week I apply a strict 1 buy-in per limit bankroll management strategy and see where we end up.

so if Australia qualifies for phase 2 scoop on may 21st....and stars pulls out

what will happen just refunded the buy in or some sort of chip value??

or is it that since they can reg for phase scoop stars will not be pulling out till after scoop is complete?

Good question - there's nothing in this bill that changes the status quo for them is there? They offer live online betting but that was already banned...

Poker was also already an illegal form of online gambling. The bill "clarifies" this and strengthens enforcement mechanisms. The main threat as I see it is communicating with regulators in other jurisdictions, which would put UK licenses in jeopardy. I couldn't speculate on Pinnacle's response though.

fwiw its illegal to provide a service for gambling to aussies not illegal to partake in the service
