Can anyone copy/paste what Pokerstars sent out?

You may have heard about the Interactive Gambling Amendment Bill (2016) that is currently being reviewed by the Australian parliament. We want to keep you informed.

If passed, the Bill will ban all online gambling sites that are not locally licensed under Australian State or Territory law. The Australian Government's intention is to keep the online community safe, which is a goal PokerStars commends. Unfortunately, there is no framework currently for poker operators like us to be locally licensed and the Bill will all but end the offering of real money online poker to Australians.

PokerStars is the most regulated poker site in the world and currently offers poker to customers through its Isle of Man global gaming license. PokerStars always seeks to comply with local regulations, so if the proposed amendments in the Bill pass into law you will likely be blocked from playing for real money on our site. We will continue to offer free-to-play services such as Jackpot Poker to the extent that it is legal for us to do so.

As always, we will continue to keep you informed. Whatever happens, your funds will remain secure and accessible for withdrawal.

The 'Interactive Gambling Amendment Bill' will be debated in the Federal Senate at the end of March. If we do not act now and amend this Bill to save online poker it will be gone for ever.
It is important that the Australian poker community rallies together as one and fights to save online poker. Many of our members enjoy playing poker online and it is important that we all defend their rights to do so.
We believe that a strong vibrant online poker scene in Australia ensures a healthy future for grass roots and 'pub poker'.
Our friends at the Australian Online Poker Alliance are leading this fight and we are offering them our support. As an APL or 888PL player and supporter we would appreciate you assisting them by doing the following. It shouldn't take more than a couple of minutes and could make all the difference.
1) Like their Facebook Page to keep up to date with their campaign Facebook.com/AustralianOnlinePokerAlliance
2) Go to their webpage australianonlinepokeralliance.com.au and enter your contact details. This will automatically send a message to your local MP and the Senators in your state asking them to keep online poker in Australia
3) Follow them on Twitter (@AustOnlinePoker) and use the hashtag #AusFight4Poker
4) Forward this email to five friends who believe that people have the right to play poker online if they choose

Joey have you tried reaching out to Joe Hachem or Shane Warne.?
Both are big supporters of poker and both have big contacts.

Shane Warne doesn't care imo, such a huge shame. This whole business is simply not compatible with his business interests. Google the story of the "Shane Warne foundation", he might feel the need to stay squeaky clean after press attention on that matter. All just my opinion.

I don't know what either of their business interests are, I just think it would help if Joey could get Shane or Joe to put something up on their FB or twitter page as I'm sure most of their followers are Australian and poker fans so it would help to get the word out there.

Joe has already expressed his support via his twitter and shares links to the AOPA page etc

Shane Warne doesn't seem to care and hasn't responded to any attempts to reach out to him on social media and the only time I saw him at Aussie Millions he was at the table in a 10k event and it didn't feel like an appropriate time to reach out to him.

Interestingly I didn't get the Stars email, maybe because i'm not a supernova anymore? Has anyone with a lower VIP level gotten the email?

Good to hear Stars are FINALLY getting on board, i'll email their support asking why I didn't get the email and who it was sent to

Hi, i'm involved with the Australian Online Poker Alliance but I didn't get the email Stars sent out to Australian customers making them aware of the work the AOPA is doing to prevent online poker being banned in Australia (and potentially saving millions of dollars in revenue for Stars)

Can you please let me know who received the email and why I didn't as a registered Australian player and former long-term Supernova etc?

Also Stars should be funding the AOPA's lobbying effort and Joseph Del Duca's advertising needs for AOPA as it is the only thing standing between Stars and losing millions of dollars of revenue a year permanently, we as Australian poker players have been privately funding it so far.

I also got the same stars email today, it's the same as the cut/paste that has been put up by pies01.

I know a few of my friends got it, I find it odd I didn't and want to check if it was sent to all Australian players or not (and if so why I didn't get it as my email address is up to date with Stars given I got multiple other emails from them recently confirming transfers etc)

I wouldn't get too caught up in you not getting the email as you should be more promoting the fact that Pokerstars seem to be coming more on-board.

Me too, I'm SN, get the newsletter and have a lot of corespondence with Stars by email and didn't get the letter either.

Oh I agree it's great for us. Just wanted to see if it was an isolated incident or if not why only some people got it.

I have supernova VIP status and have received it. There's a possibility that this mail might be in the spam folder.

I feel a miracle is in the works. We went from poker being potentially banned a couple of weeks ago to the outcome looking brighter and brighter every day. Joey the miracle maker! *applaud*

Didn't get the email either. Good news, nonetheless.

My account is active and I haven't gotten the email either not even in the spam. What might be happening is we might have checked a box somewhere that said we don't wish to receive emails or something like that from stars.
Also I remember never getting the email from FTP after stars bought them saying you could cash out luckily I'd followed here and knew what was up
