Withdrawing usd to aud on stars was already ~3% crunch since amaya came in. Going from neteller usd to AUD bank acnt is 3.79% as lowest VIP lvl. Cant remember skrills numbers but i think it was similar. They are owned by the same company since recent years IIRC

An acquirer facilitates the transfer between the banks. In this case it's envoy services who aren't willing to transfer these funds into Australia. They've obviously changed their policy which seems strange considering this isn't law yet. If it was Stars blocking, we couldn't use skrill, neteller etc.

yes but you get what i meant, its on their end to fix the problem, not for their customers to get shafted to using ewallets that effectively cheat people out of money to make a profit margin.

Yes - its disappointing for sure.
I would have thought PokerStars could have organised with envoy services (who I assume is still their acquirer) so we could get funds out of PokerStars - and some notice would have been good too.

Given that pokerstars said months ago our money would be safe and easily accessible to withdraw and this happens I feel o should panicly withdraw but am unsure. Hoping some of you legends can shed some light for me

I originally deposited using an ANZ credit card. Do you know if I will be able to cashout back to this card?

Also - why is everyone cashing out now? Is it because you anticipate problems once Stars finally pulls out?

I was just getting some cash out after winning some money with the intention of pulling out as late as possible. Seeing PokerStars horribly misjudge the payment processor risks, I'm pulling out most of my money now.

Stars will 100% pay everyone when they pull out of aus market, to do otherwise would jeopardise their UK license

It might suck if we have to use third party processors because there are no other options but we'll get paid. Then it's off to the risky world of unregulated chinese sites and acr etc.

Why wouldn't you set up an account unless you plan on going busto....that's the only way to take your money out or netteller.

Zero.if these changes have been made they won't be reversed because of a few complaining customers about to be removed from the market anyways.i guess it's something to keep this thread going atm huh.everyones acting like you can't withdraw funds at all.if this is your reaction to this can't wait to hear the winging when we all actually get blocked

This, you're going to need a Skrill or Neteller anyway unless they allow bank withdrawals so you may as well set one up and verify it anyway, but it's not time sensitive or anything unless you need your money urgently for whatever reason

I have no idea whats going on re direct bank withdrawals your best bet is to ask stars support directly


I believe so, Bank Sort code is BSB and Swift Code if its needed is like WPACAU2s (for westpac) or whatever the equivalent is for the other banks (you can google it for your bank)

I also used an ANZ credit card to make deposits to PokerStars. About 6 weeks ago, I withdrew all my cash on PokerStars just in case something did go wrong, and it was credited back to my ANZ account within a couple of days. Good luck.

I think cashing out to visa is different to doing a bank transfer
